  1. Good call on "Live After Death" - definitely on my short list. Ramones "It's Alive" also on that list.
  2. Actually arrived in a tube. Pleasantly surprised. The delay was annoying, if not terribly long, but the record and poster are both very cool. Glad I didn't cancel.
  3. Looks like mine's going to arrive tomorrow. Now, I'm anxious to see if they actually shipped the posters in tubes or if they folded them and stuck them in with the records...
  4. Oh, I'm going to just keep waiting. Just trying to figure out why they posted that it's in stock and shipping, and also emailed me and said mine was shipping, and yet it hasn't shipped.
  5. So, is it safe to assume that nobody has received one from Nitro yet? Scanning through the thread, I didn't notice anyone saying they had. I emailed Nitro (MyPlay) about a week ago to complain, and they emailed me back 4 days ago apologizing and saying my order "is already being picked from the warehouse indicating it will ship anytime soon". Whatever the hell that means. I'll tell you what it DOESN'T mean: it doesn't mean it actually shipped, because it still hasn't.
  6. That's cool, I just wasn't looking for it then. When I saw it go up on Nitro's site back in October, I liked it and wanted to get it.
  7. It may have been available for YEARS, but I wasn't into AFI then and wasn't looking for the poster. Since I can't turn back time, I chose to order the one that was available now. Or, at least appeared to be available...
  8. Looks really good, and glad to hear it sounds really good. I guess I'll keep waiting for Nitro (MyPlay) to get it to me, since I've already waited 2 months and I really want the poster. But I definitely understand why a lot of you cancelled and went through Amazon.
  9. Yep, it's now in stock. And yet they still haven't shipped mine, which was pre-ordered over two months ago. And I know I'm not alone, and that I shouldn't be surprised. Still frustrating, though.
  10. So, after emailing Danny about three times over the last couple weeks about the records that had "already shipped", and without any response from him, I suddenly got a full Paypal refund from SRC. So, I guess that answers the question of whether they had really ever shipped. Which, for me, raises more questions like: - Did he know the records hadn't really shipped when he originally told me they had and that the order couldn't be canceled? - If so, why didn't he make sure they actually DID ship at some point, especially considering I was bugging him with emails? - Or did he never really even look into it until I bugged him several times? Glad I finally got the refund, since I never got the records. But just a real strange way for someone to do business.
  11. Bingo. Eight single LPs would have fit fine. I finally got all mine and tried to put them in the box and....nope. I just put all 7 studio LPs in there and left Live After Death out. Really sucks, but what are you gonna do?
  12. As I mentioned in the "SRC appreciation" thread, I don't think it's really hit or miss. If you order an album that they have, they'll ship it to you. I've ordered from them with no issues a few times. It's when you actually require customer service that their lack thereof becomes apparent.
  13. Still living the dream with SRC. Now two weeks in and still waiting for the records that couldn't be cancelled because they'd "already shipped". Kinda curious what their shipping method was. Carrier pigeon?
  14. That sucks, Juan. Unfortunately, these issues are definitely not unique to SRC.
  15. Got my shipping confirmation email from SRC today for the records they told me had already shipped last week when I tried to cancel my order. Original cancelation request sent on 11/28, second request sent on 12/1, third "follow-up" email sent 12/4, first (and only) response from Danny sent on 12/5, shipping confirmation sent on 12/9. Yeah, I guess it was too late to cancel.
  16. From what I can tell, the "good customer service" is not really that random. If you order a record that they actually have in stock, they will typically ship it to you. No issues! If, however, 1) you need to make a change to an order, 2) something you've ordered is not yet available, 3) they have oversold an item, 4) you placed a pre-order or 5) God forbid you actually want to talk to them, this is when the customer service experiences start to get dicey. If you're curious, or just bored, try calling their customer service number. It's 888-747-3899.
  17. Well, I guess I won't have to email them every day. They finally responded yesterday with a quick message: Hey William, I apologies for this but it shipped already. Nothing was delayed it all come in on time just different times so all items ship together. Sorry, Danny So, I guess that pretty well sums it up, Danny. Except it doesn't mention the part where I emailed you twice BEFORE the items shipped. Nor does it mention the fact that you didn't ship for over a week from the date that the last item was available. Nor does it address SRC's, from what I can tell, FAKE customer service phone number. Oh well, one less place to waste my money going forward.
  18. Still awaiting a response from my original email last Friday. Sent another today, which is the 3rd so far. I'm thinking this will be my daily ritual going forward. Until I hear from them, anyway. Maybe the same time every day, just to make it special.
  19. Yep, this is the exact experience I was referring to earlier in the thread. Gotta love a business that won't take a phone call.
  20. So, here's one adult who isn't tired of whining yet. Okay, after emailing the "customer service" folks last Friday, and then emailing them again yesterday, trying to cancel an order I had placed 6 weeks ago, it appears to have miraculously shipped today. I told them that I wanted to cancel the order, and yet they shipped the records anyway. No email response, just a sudden shipment. Interesting, huh? Not that anyone cares, but I won't be using SRC again. And I will probably be marking the package "return to sender" and disputing my card charge. Really disgusted with these folks.
  21. Yeah, I started a thread about SRC and their "customer service" earlier today - it was pretty quickly locked by the mods. With that said, I don't know their actual policy regarding adding items to an order. But, since it appears to be impossible to access existing orders at this time, it will probably be tough to add anything.
  22. So, has anyone else had issues with SRC's customer service recently? First off, I've been unable to go in on the site to check my order status (or do anything else) for the last couple days. won't let me in. Anyone else experience this? I also tried to call their customer service number and it was a joke. After it made me listen to several advertisements for random stuff, it finally gave me yet a different number that I needed to call. Then, when I called that number, it was completely useless. Never made mention of SRC (or Fork Radio) and made me feel like they were purposely sending me on a wild goose chase to reach someone. Again, anyone else ever experience this? Incredibly frustrating.
  23. Pretty decent sale prices, I guess. But at the discounted prices, you're now paying $100 for a miniature bat - if you choose that version. I live in Louisville, and those bats are about $10 without the Rancid logo. That's even dumber than the box set itself.
