If you're like me, and were bummed that you weren't able to score the RSD Ghostbusters 10", there is good news. SoundStageDirect has a preorder up for this for $16.99. I called them to see if this was a mistake, but they said it really is a preorder for the next batch of them, coming in June. They said these will be just like the RSD version, except they won't be numbered. So, unless you really care about the number, you can get one without paying the RIDICULOUS eBay prices. Frankly, I hope this puts a little bit of a damper on the flippers' fun.

I saw this preorder on Friday and called their customer service to ask about it. They confirmed that it is indeed a preorder, and that it is scheduled to come out in June (I think she said June 3). She told me the only difference between the RSD version and this one is that this one won't be numbered. So, if you want one of these and don't care about the number (like me), you can get one shipped for about $22 rather than paying the CRAZY prices on the 'Bay.

Wow, the Euro version looks awesome. I just picked up the Hot Topic exclusive, and it's nice. But that one is sick.

I totally get it. Most of us on this board are totally into the whole limited/collector "thing". That's a big part of record collecting for many. I was mentioning the obvious downside to it: the "flippers". Again, I think we all agree that one of the main draws of RSD is the limited release. We all dig it. Unfortunately, the downside of this simple example of supply and demand is that there will always be those who use it specifically for their own quick financial gain. Nothing wrong with it, I suppose. Just frustrating when someone who truly wants something at a fair price is unable to get it. But again, nothing new or unique here. The record flipper is no different than a ticket scalper.

Yeah, this one kind of surprised me, too. My buddy got one and I think it was $14.99. I looked at the 'bay, just out of curiosity, and there are already 45 copies of it on there. With crazy prices, of course. I don't even want it - just kind of amused by it. This is the ugly side of limited releases ("collector's items").

Yeah, that was my assumption. So, without starting a whole new round of jokes, does anyone actually have a clue as to when the pre-order will go up at FW?

You guys aware that this is already up at Interpunk? It doesn't say anything about color, but it's up. $12 plus shipping. Just thought I'd share.

Yep, looks like the standard transparent blue that comes 90% of the time when the description is just "blue". I was hoping it would be an opaque light (sky) blue to match the cover art. Seems like it would be easy (and obvious) to do it that way, but who knows....

Well, just got my email from SRC stating the new release date is now June 17. Original scheduled release date was 11/26/13 and I pre-ordered in mid-October. Seems about right...

Anybody else pre-order this? After the most recent delay, it has been showing as slated for release today. Anyone know if it's really coming out? I emailed SRC's customer service but haven't heard back from them.

So, will it still be heading to stores? Or, if they don't already have it, is it safe to say they won't be getting it?

Do you want us to tell you which albums you should buy? I don't know you nor your taste in music. Or, do you want us to tell you which albums will be the best investments from a "flipping" perspective?

Thanks for confirming. I pulled the trigger on this a couple nights ago. Was surprised there were some left. Just now getting into this band and have to go back and build the back catalog.
