  1. i guess that's the difference between the old and new generations of record buyers. because the way our generation handled things. take away the internet and cell phones and credit cards and there would be a generational mass suicide amongst new gen record buyers. i'm just sayin' there' a different mentality with people who drive and don't drive and drivers take a whole lot for granted. non-drivers spend enough time in between places and home that their free time is valuable and do errands like people do laundry. they wait for things to adequately pile up before doing them. i am 2 to 3 miles from a bus stop, overall route is about 2 hours from home to post office back home. it sux, but it would suck more with the pressure if i had to do it every time someone bought a album. then again i let people know. lexicon: for future ref, if you ever read messages that seem hostile and my name is attached take it in jest. i don't know any other way of explaining things other than long oral dissertations. i come off like a ahole. but i don't really mean it. Eh, I know that was said in all fun but unfortunately you got responses like this (in a much more intimidating tone) from a good number of people. I've been ordering both music and merch since the good (or bad) mail order days where you would wait months before ever receiving anything, and that's if you were lucky. But in 2011 there are more than enough options and tools to prevent any such thing. Yeah he didn't have to wait an extremely long time for his item, but if you're using either eBay or Paypal or whatever it may be for a profit then you should use those things to make sure your buyer receives what they paid for in a reasonable amount of time - the same way you received your cash.
  2. These posts just made me order both Comfort and Fantastic Planet. Pretty damn excited to get both of these. Can't wait for Magnified!
  3. Yeah, I definitely understand not getting into Size Matters or anything after, I just happen to enjoy Size Matters and Seeing Eye Dog along with the Gandhi demos. Monochrome is pretty damn bad, although the instrumental version is interesting to listen to. Peter Mengede recently "rejoined" Helmet for two nights over in Australia for the first time in 18 years. Pretty damn cool to see. If Page doesn't wanna get rid of Dan, he should bring back Pete as a third player haha. The band sounded the best I've heard in years during the recent Metalliance Tour. The songs actually sounded like they should have, tuning wise and with Page's voice.
  4. I love both Betty and Aftertaste. Aftertaste is such a good driving record. Can't believe they aren't considered "true' Helmet. Especially when songs like Insatiable, Crisis King, Flushings, hell half of Betty itself, all sound like something off of Meantime. Helmet was/is a band that constantly evolved their sound with each individual release, while keeping that signature ferocity. Shame that people don't give the later albums more of a chance.
  5. Noticed this yesterday and I'll give it a shot. Hoping the album sounds like the remastered Strap It On tracks from the Unsung: Best of Helmet compilation. Picked up the white/yellow swirl.
  6. Benchwarmer is an awesome seller and a good dude.
  7. Sorry if I'm bumping this too much hah. Hoping I find this soon!
  8. I'm not really asking for anything, not sure what the problem is? It's been noted twice that I think the prices people are paying are absolutely dumb. Just looking for whatever + shipping. Not a huge deal.
  9. Yeah I know that haha, which is why I'm not looking for much at all. People are out of their minds for buying these up at ridiculous prices.
  10. I know these go for outrageous prices on eBay, but I'm not looking for anything big. Selling some super old records for my father in law. It's in damn good condition for being 28 years old, completely playable. Insert is slightly fragile for being old. Both the gatefold and vinyl are in really good condition with very slight storage marks on the sleeve. throw something small at me.
  11. Selling Manic Compression on black. I already have it on white and am trying to free up some space. Sleeve, vinyl, and insert in pretty good condition although the sleeve as some very slight bendings on the corners. 35 bucks flat and its yours. Ships out the following day (Monday if purchased tonight) with delivery confirmation and tracking. PM me!
  12. I believe that 1000 out of the entire pressing were done on orange. Been after it for awhile and missed everytime.
  13. Subject says it all. Looking for this preferably in good condition. Willing to pay a fair price as I do not have much to trade, but feel free to take a look at my list. http://deadformat.net/tradelist/thievesdont Please message me if you're interested in selling, thanks!
  14. Tried to order these, but the above image and website said "do NOT select media mail." What do you know, it wouldn't let me select any other shipping options, so by the time I got a response from Reaper they were all sold out. Pretty bummed.
  15. Didn't grab one in time when the preorders came out. I know there is one on eBay right now, but I'd rather just purchase it off of a seller if possible. Still waiting on my green from Reaper Records. Thanks!
  16. Just pre-ordered the Supertouch - Lost My Way 7 inch. I couldn't help myself after listening to the preview, can't wait for it.
