  1. I'm not surprised by that since only the black and milky clear were mentioned in Chuck's initial announcement for this LP.
  2. Revival Tour merch store has launched. http://kingsroadmerch.com/revival/
  3. What an amazing show this was. Two hour set, great song selection, a Springsteen performance. My only complaint was that the sound could have been better. Here's the audio for anyone who wants it. www.mediafire.com/?ozafarecv6vl1de
  4. Generation is pretty cool. I suppose if you go to Manhattan from Brooklyn you should go to Bleecker Street Records, which I haven't been to but is close to Generation. You're not missing anything special.
  5. I second that. Also check out Academy on 12th street btw 2nd and 1st Aves.
  6. I've been meaning to check that out! $240 a year? You could buy so much pudding with that amount of money.
  7. Anything to add about the "what it's like to work at Victory" thread?
  8. Anyone ever get pressing info on the red version of this LP?
  9. Whole bunch of tests on Ebay http://www.ebay.com/sch/sideonedummyrecords/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686
  10. It's pronounced "horrible". waka waka waka.
  11. Reassuring. There's another one on Ebay now but the starting bid is $49 . . . yikes. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Horrible-Crowes-7-Gaslight-Anthem-Lp-Record-/230701887043?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item35b6e76e43#ht_1424wt_77
  12. Given the heft of this thing, I wonder what the chances are of being pressed on vinyl http://consequenceofsound.net/2011/11/bob-dylan-tribute-album-chimes-of-freedom-reveals-insane-tracklist/
  13. If, like me, you grew up in the 80s, you probably have great memories of how truly great Eddie Murphy once was. Bill Simmons recently wrote this terrific column about Eddie's career arc. It's long but it's spot on and worth reading: http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/7189740/eddie-murphy
  14. Hahaha. I love that you smited me you little bitch. XOXO.
  15. Dude, you're a fucking loser. Are you in love with this guy or something?
  16. Intersting mix of participants in this flick. THE OTHER F WORD directed by Andrea Blaugrund Nevins produced by Cristan Reilly and Andrea Blaugrund Nevins IN THEATERS NOVEMBER 2ND, 2011 http://www.theotherfwordmovie.com/ This revealing and touching film asks what happens when a generation's ultimate anti-authoritarians -- punk rockers -- become society's ultimate authorities -- dads. With a large chorus of punk rock's leading men - Blink-182's Mark Hoppus, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea, Rise Against's Tim McIlrath - THE OTHER F WORD follows Jim Lindberg, a 20-year veteran of the skate punk band Pennywise, on his hysterical and moving journey from belting his band's anthem "F--k Authority," to embracing his ultimately authoritarian role in mid-life: fatherhood. Other dads featured in the film include skater Tony Hawk, Art Alexakis (Everclear), Mark Mothersbaugh (Devo), Tony Adolescent (The Adolescents), Fat Mike (NOFX), Lars Frederiksen (Rancid), and many others.

  18. Today's announcement that Gaslight Anthem signed to Mercury Records got me thinking about how this would impact their vinyl output. Do bands that sign to majors tend to put out fewer variants for a given release? Are they less likely to put out variants that are limited to a fairly small number? I haven't been collecting vinyl for very long so I realize this may seem like a fairly stupid question.

  20. As long as they keep putting out their stuff on vinyl I don't care what label they're on.

  22. Wonder if this is true. http://www.crazedhits.com/gaslight-anthem-sign-to-mercury/
