I live in Austin so there this town is pretty diverse. Everyone supports just about every scene. We have a variety of touring acts here that any one person can support. I can go see Atmosphere one week, and then go support WOrld BURNS TO DEATH the following tues night. Most here are pretty open to different genres of music, which makes it a good place for festivals like SXSW, FUN FUN FUN FEST, and Austin City Limits. So rather than most supporting one scene, we support several at a time, which is enough for every scene to flourish...

just wanted to know how much for the 2nd lp from Baroness as well as the FOUR CORNERED NIGHT - JTB lps...i don't know what to offer, since i've been out of the buying/trading game..hope to hear from you soon. mike

I had a JAY REATARD 12" sent to me without any kind of support backing or anything, or a "fragile-do not bend" stamp, nothing... when i opened it, the record was in about 8 pieces, and it was sold out by the time i got it..luckily i was reimbursed, but still. you would think a record label that sends out records on a large basis, would learn to take the record out, and place piece of backing board on either side to reduce the amount of damaged records that people recieve.

I saw this last month too in a used record shop for $12. i thought about buying it, but wound up getting a Soul Asylum record...I'll go back on Friday and see if they have it again, or call and if it's there i'll go grab it.
