I don't see how it wouldn't hold up. You really think a court is going to rule against developers and publishers in this when they don't make a single cent from used game sales? They have to recoup their costs somehow. I definitely have bought used games in the past, but usually only older games that you can't find new anymore. I'm really curious to see how places like Gamestop who make almost all of their money off used game sales handle this. They typically sell used new releases for only $5 less than a brand new copy, so obviously they will have to lower that price to make up for the $10 difference. I wonder if it will just lead to the sale of MORE used games, since there are bound to be people who couldn't care less about playing online and would rather get a $15 discount buying used. could lead to that. i don't see how they can get away with it though, when you purchase something, in my opinion you should be able to do whatever you want with it. if you buy a car or something used, you don't have to pay a kickback to the car company to make the radio work. and i don't think these developers are hurting for money, since millions of people pay $60 each year for minor roster updates and slightly tweaked gameplay.

you guys see how 3 major developers now are making a single use code for online play to keep people who buy used games from getting all the features without paying another $10-15? hate the idea, i don't see it holding up if fans were to file a class action suit.

Good rant for sure though, there have been a lot of people the Sox have held on to forever. Craig Hansen was one, though the finally got him out of town, but I never saw the draw in him.
