  1. Necros - Sex Drive The Fix - Vengeance Sadly if these ever do appear on a place like ebay, I'll never be able to afford them. I've wanted these two 7"s for longer than a lot of people on this board have probably been alive. I fear that I will die before ever owning them!
  2. That has just been reissued with bonus tracks and comes on 500 green vinyl and 500 gold vinyl. It has the "What Happens Next" LP plus the "Oxnard Land of No Toilets" 7" on it. Also just released is Dr. Know - Plug in Jesus and Burn. That contains the Plug in Jesus 12" and the burn 7" on a single LP and the pressing numbers and colors are the same as Ill Repute. I'm working on a Battalion of Saints LP which will be the next Mystic release but that won't be out until sometime after the holidays.
  3. Today is the last day I'm taking entries for this (for those who haven't entered yet). The cutoff is 11:59 tonight CST. Good luck everyone.
  4. This is the first i've heard of it, but it woudlnt' surprise me. I actually have a box of stuff en route to me according to the old man so perhaps there's some in there. Regardless I'll be talking to him over the weekend most likely so I'll ask him about it.
  5. Milo Goes to College is one of the best punk rock albums of all time, ever. It is a masterpiece and the Descendents finest moment (and they had many!). Cool to Be You is the best Bad Religion album the Descendents ever wrote. That is to say it was the only blemish in an otherwise spotless record. It sounds more like a BR album than a descendents record, and it was incredibly boring. As far as albums made by bands who broke up and re-formed many years later, Everything Sucks is among the best. It was like nothing had changed and it was a very solid album. In fact this thread inspired me to want to go listen to it today.
  6. I sure as hell do (same amount of time collecting too!) and with what they sell for when they do go on ebay (almost never), I'll never own them
  7. I loved The Jesus Lizard and saw them more times than I remember. Strangely enough though, I thought they really started to suck right around the time they signed to a major label. Fancy that... Before that though, they were awesome, though it did take me awhile before I stopped wishing I was seeing Scratch Acid on the stage and just accepted the fact that wasn't going to happen.
  8. There's been WAY more than 1000 of those made. Those records have been in print for YEARS!
  9. That is NOT Guns N Roses, it is the Axl Rose Band. That GnR is even less authentic than that version of TSOL where Jack's brother in law stole the name and put out bad glam rock albums! Until they kiss and make up and at LEAST Axl, Duff, Slash and Izzy are in the band (they can use the second drummer instead of that junkie first one they got), then it's not Guns N Roses and they will not have a home in my record collection ever. Not even for free!
  10. Vol. 1 is red. Vol2 is blue. It has always been this way. Impact - Vol 1 and the record with the fold out cover you are thinking of are two different records. Vol 1 contains the songs from that first 12" EP ("oh come now jim it could never happen here"), but the songs were remixed very poorly, completely watering them down. If you ever heard the original mix you'd know what I mean and you'd think "what the fuck were they thinking?!".
  11. Not ususally, but they can be slow sometimes. I'm not too worried about it, I've never had them not send something.
  12. Ironically most of them aren't from punk bands. From left to right: Singer of Soilent Green, Ogre from Skinny Puppy (my favorite band on earth), Phil Anselmo from Down (formerly singer of pantera), Shane West pretending to be darby crash from The Germs, That dude from the Nekromantix, Daryl from the Bollweevils. Those were all chosen cuz they were from among my better shots from various shows I've photographed.
  13. The good Doctor (Strange) gave me a test pressing of the new reissue of Government Issue - Make an Effort to give away to one lucky visitor of The Punk Vault. Enter here: http://www.punkvinyl.com/2008/11/19/government-issue-test-pressing-contest/ Please pass the info along to everywhere!
  14. Robs House put out that awesome S.I.D.S. 7".
  15. Yeah manual is the way to go, however if you have automatic, look in yr manual because some of the better ones have a way to adjust when it returns. usually it's a little screw or knob somehwere on the turntable, (could be located under the platter).
  16. I ordered one from RE. Glad to be able to get one at a much more affordable price than elsewhere.
  17. we're in the same boat... i've been lookng for a clear copy myself...time to beg mel for a copy i guess. If yr talking about Mel from Shredder, I'm pretty sure he sold everything he had left from the label (test pressings, etc and all) to some dude who has been selling it all on ebay recently. I wish I hadn't fallen out of touch with him because I'd have taken it all off his hands and kept at least 1 of everything instead of hawking it all on ebay.
  18. So it can be displayed on standard definition televisions.
  19. My blue copy came really quickly and I was totally impressed with the care taken in packaging the thing so it wouldn't get damaged. Unlike all the other times I ordered from BCD, this time they took the time to do a stellar job in making sure the records would be least likely to be harmed. It was actually worth the expensive shipping this time for the packing job. Since I always slammed them in the past for their inflated shipping and lazy/poor packing, I had to point out when they did it right.
  20. I owned the entire pressing of every record I released on my label until I gave the band their copies and then sold the rest I do own 2% of the pressing of Jawbreaker/Jawbox double 7" with handpainted blank sides as there were 100 of them and I have 2.
  21. I'm not at home to confirm but it was a Hyperstoic book that came with a Full Speed Ahead 7" if I remember right.
