  2. Wouldn't feel bad blowing a few hours listing to every one of those colors in a row Ditto for the jerks set
  3. Around 1988 a friend offered me Sex Drive, Vengeance and IQ32 skatepark sleeve for $600. Even if I had that kind of money at the time I remember thinking fuck that, FUCK THAT. Fuck me.
  4. How does the anniversary audio differ, is it noticeable for the better or worse?
  5. Great band, thanks for posting those deets w/ the pictures!
  6. Any fans? I watched that Chi Pig documentary the other night and it kinda bummed me out.
  7. finally got this stuff yesterday. Not really into all the sex wax on the sleeve but all good records nonetheless
  8. I don't recall exactly but way more than I want to admit to paying since I got one of the 12 white tests w/ the painted sleeve (I think it was like a hundredish for that, the red version and the black.)
  9. New Neighborhood Brats 12" ep on Modern Action has a smooth b/side. Just got it in the mail yesterday, great punk rock record.. buy it
  10. I just emailed the guy Stefan from their contact page. He quoted me a price, I paypalled him and had the records in about a week with no problems at all and the guy was cool.
  11. Sure a lot of people on this board would probably subscribe but how much would you pay for it? Trade publications are generally so niche they come with a steep cost to cover overhead against their relatively small user base. At said cost, the content has to be extremely compelling to get and keep subscribers paying your bills each month. Even if you're doing something like that as a hobby only (eg. putting out 500 records of your friends' shitty band) it can get old real quick when you're losing money month after month. Just because somebody has money and/or time to print something doesn't mean it will be any less retarded than if they spray-painted it on the side of a building, that's silly. No doubt there are a slew of shitty blogs out there but there are plenty of useful, informative ones as well, ones making money even. I don't want to dwell on this topic too much since I don't really give a shit about it.. I just thought it could be an inexpensive, modern way for Ryn to test the waters.
  12. Not to poopoo your project but I can't imagine stores and industry news would be enough to sustain a printed publication. When you start getting into actual pieces of vinyl then you're stretching yourself too thin unless you're focusing on a specific genre, which again, will be too niche unless you're just doing Kinko's photocopies as a hobby. You're better off starting a blog and be happy if you get some regular readers then go from there.
  13. Good point. I guess I don't know what that side of the shelf should look like after all. Just out of curiosity, why do you store them with the spine facing away from you? Isn't it hard to know what's what that way? Do you have multiple squares in your Expedit filled and if so, do some in every square do something similar? If they didn't look like that when you shelved them then there must be a good explanation.. maybe it is the missing bags, I've always used them so I'm not sure. If you value them then it might be worth getting some of those either way.
  14. that doesn't look good at all They look like they're not tight enough for some reason, like they're too lose on whatever the shelf is, not leaning one way or the other (which you don't necessarily want either) and in turn just kinda bowing on the shelf there. I'm totally guessing, I don't know but it might help to see a wider shot of the whole shelf. Whatever the case, hurry up and fix that before it starts affecting the wax inside the sleeves if it hasn't already.
  15. http://metallifits.de/indexb/base.html here's the no balls 10", just got it in the mail the other day but haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. No word on the zodiac 10" yet, however.. Who has a link for this hockey puck 7" ?? Is it new or is it that thing that Rockin' Bones put out a few years ago?
  16. Bad Religion's Back To The Known EP is one that comes to mind with a blank, mirror smooth B/side. After coming out of the sleeve a couple of times it looks all scratched up so I think I prefer the blank grooves...
  17. You wouldn't have a house if you had another expensive habit! I flip punk rock records to support my drug habit and extravagant lifestyle
  18. It is a cat, how did you know it wasn't where I keep my drugs? Thx but there's people on here with a lot more interesting stuff
  19. money changes everything. I like this band and generally like hearing out-takes and covers and demos and that kind of shit but this track should have been left under whatever rock it came
  20. http://www.amazon.com/gp/recsradio/radio/B004W7G2AY/ref=pd_krex_listen_dp_img?ie=UTF8&refTagSuffix=dp_img Was digging it til that Cyndi Lauper cover, not sure I can even own it now (and I like Cyndi Lauper too)
  21. I don't think I'd let my friends touch my records, too afraid they'd drop a box or do something stupid, since they're "just records" Oh we had a whole training session; how to pick up the box, how to carry the box, how to set the box back down, how to behave when in the same room, etc.
