Cheap, really? I saw a copy in a store priced for $30 last week and thought it was way too expensive

Check Everyday Music in Seattle and Bellingham. I just bought a copy at the downtown Portland store after going back and forth for a year if I really wanted it or not. And I know for a fact the downtown store originally had 2 copies (I bought the last one), and the Sandy blvd location had 1 copy but it sold. I'd imagine all of the EM locations received copies of this.

You can do it, but you may want to consider putting less weight on the top shelves than the suggested max load of 29 pounds since you're altering the structural stability. You'll also have to cut the dowels to fit (easy), otherwise they'll stick out. Shot at 2012-03-13
