Everyday Music here was charging $2 per LP mailer and $1.50 for 7" mailers. It's easy to make my own out of the boxes from Costco. Many buyers aren't usually in the "patient" mood. wow you have mad free time huh? Seriously, have you ever used a utility knife? It takes less than a minute to trace and cut. I'm not going to order from bagsunlimited just to have cardboard sent to me.

The "sandwich" method is bullshit and apathy. I have used a record mailer as a template, traced onto a flat sheet of cardboard and made essentially the same thing for less than the $2 cost of a real mailer at a nameless local shop. Never had a complaint. That get up kids picture horrifies me.

I'm with this all the way. It doesn't seem like it should be that difficult to set that up but maybe there's just something about their data entry system that makes software like that incompatible. I work in retail and you'd be surprised how often I have people who come in saying "it showed it available online" and by the time they drive in the item is out of stock. It'd be great if a programmer could fix things, but I'm assuming the problem it's kind of widespread across retail. I've only had 2 instances with reckless where the item wasn't in stock, a copy of Thrice's vheissu and a five iron frenzy 7in on my last order. Their response time at reckless to online orders has gone from 1 day about a year ago to about 3 days now. If you see something online I'd suggest calling and seeing if they can pull it for you right away.

LOL! I was wondering what happened to that! Picked it up and almost bought it but ended up buying something else. Went back the next day and it was gone! Sandy, right? Yeah, it was the Sandy store. The downtown store had a sealed copy for years awhile back (probably 2 years ago was the last time I saw it there) and hadn't run across another copy since. I took it as a sign and bought it. It was in the "as is" section, so I'm assuming someone was stashing it to come back later for it.
