Got my record today. It was well packaged and exactly as described. Just wanted to put in a good word for deathtripper since he is kind of newer around here and is probably still looking to deal.

a guy just sold his brothes collection to my local comic shop for $400....located inside was a #181...they sent it off to get graded and it came back an 8.6 or something. unreal. Worth $850 according to comicpriceguide.com.

Regardless of how perverted the show has become you can still find a way to have a good time there. Just make sure you see the one skateboard ramp that they have pushed way in the corner away from the stages.

I thought a Teenage Bottlerocket/The Ergs split was agreed too, but the songs hadn't been recorded yet. I think Virgil has a bunch of plans and is really optimistic, but at this point doesn't have hard dates on when these things are going to roll. I'm sure he'll chime in rather than leaving us to guess...

Not "rare", but just in the hands or true fans. It seems like after a few years all of a band's vinyl end up in the hands of people who genuinely love the band's music. First come the flippers, then the people who decide they would rather sell off their rare vinyl and just buy common colors or listen to the mp3s and buy multiple records for $8-10. Lastly, come the people who don't want to sell but are forced too or decide to get out of record collecting. Jawbreaker are in this last stage of record collecting where the records are mostly in the hands of true fans and aren't put up for sale that often. Thus, there records usually sell for a nice price and are probably only going to go up in the future as fewer people put them up for sale. Fuck, that turned into a much longer post than I meant it to. Hopefully it wasn't a bunch of bologna.

I usually make them by just cutting up bigger boxes. I always cut them with a good amount of extra cardboard on all the edges and wrap all the edges with packing tape to seal it. No one has complained yet that their record was damaged.

Any tips or models you guys would suggest, hopefully in the lower price ranges? Do you have to pay some kind of monthly fee with some or all of the models? How do I install it without messing up my car? I've really done no research into this. This is the first step I've taken so any advice would be awesome.

I guess my whole point is that the Joker was PG-13. Based on the Batman I have read (which is by no means a ton, but more than 99.9% of the people seeing this movie) the joker is an R rated character. The speech and mannerisms were great, but it came up short in the horrific and gruesome side of the joker that I love. There was tons of killing implied, but shooting cars and henchmen just aren't on the level as killing babies and priests. I don't want to come off as a downer. I think this movie was awesome. It's a 9/10 to me. I figured everyone else had talked about the great aspects of the movie so I brought up the one point that for me kept this from being a 10/10.

How about the Watchmen trailer? It didn't give a lot away but that movie looked incredible. Watchmen is my favorite comic book by far.

I get what you are saying and agree, but he could have been both. In addition to his mind games you could have cut a few more people up. The "we're not afraid of you" guy sticks out in particular.

I didn't read this whole thread but did anyone else think the Joker was a little weak? Ledger was perfect, but the writing was weak. He's supposed to leave a wake of bodies. It seemed like he mostly just put a knife into someone's mouth but never went through with it. He killed bad guys, but that's not the same as killing innocent people.

I know how to use excel's random number generator to randomly pick a name. I couldn't draw a good image of the wheel to repeat over and over until it stops and I'm not sure if I could link it back to excel through visual basic. I think I could give it a go but it would take forever to stumble through the code.

Pissed your Senor Red is at 36 already. I think mine sold for 12 a month or two ago.

I think he just thinks these will get flipped anyways so why not use the money to fund his label rather than helping someone else make an easy buck off his work. At least that's what I hope he's doing...
