  1. Not a fan of Say Anything, but I'm psyched that The Front Bottoms and So So Glos will be touring together.
  2. Yup. My local grocery store carries it. It's by far my favorite flavor. Finished the survey btw.
  3. Creighton looks horrible. They're getting embarrassed down low. Dougie Buckets is going to have to step it up if they want to stand a chance.
  4. That's good to hear. Sometimes I fear stores are forced into buying way more than they can sell. I occasionally see a lot of old over-pressed RSD items hanging around my local stores.
  5. Given all the debate on the merits of RSD, I'm going to give my two cents, because I have nothing better to do on a Sunday morning. My excitement for RSD seems to wane each year, but I still think it's still a good thing overall. Given the intention of the day - to bring exposure and revenue to local record stores - they're doing the best they can. Ultimately, it's all about money, but what's wrong with that? Stores, bands, pressing plants and labels need cash to survive and RSD brings them just that. Let's not try to implant some higher meaning to the day. While I know nothing about the music industry, I have to imagine that RSD brings a nice influx of revenue to all involved. With the current state of the industry, my assumption would be that even major labels like Warner Bros. are struggling, of course on a different scale than indie labels. I don't really see what the organizers could do differently. The limited nature of the releases forces consumers to shop on that specific day, and it also triggers something in our brains to purchase records we wouldn't normally buy - because we have to pick up the 7" of that band we're only moderately interested in, because it won't be sitting around tomorrow, and hell, I woke up too damn early to pick up just one record. As a consumer, sure it sucks waking up at 5:00 AM to pick up a few records that I wish were pressed in greater numbers, yet, at the end of every RSD, I'm happy I went. I don't have any friends interested in vinyl, and very few of my friends share the same passion for music as I do. Even as an introvert I'm always compelled to talk to those other maniacs lining up two hours before my store opens, and with that sense of community, those two hours fly by. I understand why people are skeptical of RSD, and I think there's legitimate reason to be (marked up prices, re-presses of readily accessible albums, flippers, etc.) However, I feel like the good outweighs the bad. Even though RSD incites anxiety, empty wallets and lost hours of sleep, I always leave my local store happy, with or without every record on my wish-list. And potentially, even more important than my satisfaction, my local store is supported.
  6. Interesting shot selections at the end of the game by Ennis. Nice win by Dayton, I thought they were going to choke.
  7. Hopefully the later games will be exciting. Thus far today has been a letdown. Dayton and Syracuse looks like it might come down to the wire though.
  8. You're right, and IMO that's the problem It's not like football and basketball are mutually exclusive. The choice to leave a conference has repercussions on all sporting programs. For Syracuse to dismiss the opinion of their basketball program - the only reason they're nationally relevant - it's crazy. With that said, I get it, FBS money dictates college sports, but I'm not happy about it, because I don't care about college football. So my opinion is obviously skewed. Arguably the greatest rivalry in college basketball history has been lost with 'Cuse and Georgetown. I hope both the ACC and 'Cuse/Pitt collapse in this tournament, because I'm a fan of Big East basketball. Just like how I hope the Patriots will suck each year as a Jets fan - unfortunately that never happens.
  9. It's a good thing Duke doesn't have to go through the "meat grinder" of the Atlantic Sun each year.
  10. Had Duke losing in the next round anyway, so this is pretty awesome.
  11. Of course, and I am angry with the schools. However, it doesn't even seem that the people who matter most in the basketball programs have any say on this nonsense. Jim Boeheim, whose opinion should probably be paramount for Syracuse sports, was extremely open with his displeasure of leaving the Big East. I mean, my anger is probably misplaced by focusing on the ACC for realignment, but when I've seen two major episodes of poaching from the Big East in the past eight years it makes them an easy target.
  12. I feel like there is an air of elitism to the ACC, and that mainly comes from Duke and UNC. The fan base/students of those two schools are insufferable and pompous. The ACC is constantly poaching schools from the Big East and by doing so have ruined some of the greatest rivalries and traditions in college basketball. And finally, since I went to a Big East school, there's the obvious battling between the conferences for supremacy.
  13. This St Joe's vs UCONN game has been great. Back and forth all game.
  14. St. Louis better beat NC State. If there's one thing I want to see it's the A10 outperform the ACC. Well, that and the Big East to do well. Absolutely everything about the ACC irritates me, especially Coach K.
  15. I actually got pretty much everything I wanted last year online. I wasn't able to make it out the day of, and just waited until midnight for the remaining stock to pop up online. Vintage Vinyl in NJ had the majority of what I was looking for online last year. There's usually a thread that pops up sometime before or on RSD that lists what's in stock on each site.
  16. Thank God. I've been dying for those performances to get a proper release.
  17. I found a work-around on Lifehacker. Essentially you just buy yourself a gift subscription at the current price and send it to yourself once your subscription expires. Disable auto-renew on your Prime account Purchase a gift subscription here for $79 Set it to deliver to your own email address on the day that your current year of Prime lapses.
  18. I'm 27. Seems to be the average age around here...
  19. I missed out on the tour opener because I was too tired to leave the house lol. I got excited thinking he might come back.
  20. Dave Hause is playing in Asbury on 4/6?
  21. The amount of fan service is just right. I'm only an hour in but I haven't encountered any bugs on the PC version.
  22. Took the bait and ordered on Green Man Gaming for $45. I usually never buy games on launch - mainly because I'm too cheap, but I can't wait play this.
