Sucked it up and purchased an Xbox One Madden bundle yesterday. I do most of my gaming on the PC, so the One will probably be used primarily for sports games (e.g. Madden and NHL.) Are there any Xbox One exclusives people are excited for? I haven't really paid much attention to what's going on in the console realm. Forza 5 looks really nice, although I typically have a tough time getting into racing sims since I'm far from a car enthusiast.

Yeah. That's why it's so tempting. Amazon and Target have the One bundled with Madden for $399 and it comes with a $35 gift card. They're not making this easy on me...

I was all set to pick up Madden 15 for the 360 today, and then I discovered that a large portion of the major upgrades won't be available for the last gen consoles. It sounds as if it truly is a glorified roster update. Now I'm debating whether to buy an Xbox One bundled with Madden or just wait for a decent price drop.

You have great depth at RB and an elite TE. I'd say you're a little weak at WR — I'm not crazy about Hilton or Watkins. Kelvin Benjamin could pay off really nicely though. Overall I'd say it's a pretty good team. Best of luck.

Just finished a game as Rome and won with a Diplomatic victory. I was initially going for science, but I knew I wasn't going to be able to pull it off before the end of the game. The great thing about Civ is it's a game you can constantly go back to. It's the game I'll play when I'm in between games - and it always leaves me satisfied. Enjoy.

Speaking of retro games, anyone read Console Wars? It's about the battle between Sega and Nintendo during the late 80s and early 90s. Highly recommended.

IMO, one of Weezer's best qualities was their ability to write songs that were goofy and had a degree of naivety, but managed to be sincere and heartfelt. Now their lyrics are goofy with what seems like an intention of being funny, but they're not, at all. It's a shame, I even felt Make Believe was a pretty good album, and I keep holding out hope that they'll return to greatness, but it's just not there. Sounds like they're just phoning it in.

Just finished playing Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. What an incredible game. I'm typically not that moved by environments in games, but this was beautiful. Definitely one of the best games I've played in some time.

Looks like the first two 7" records sold out. Now they're offering a partial subscription for the remaining 5 releases on their web store. I am actually pretty surprised. Although, I think much of it has to do with getting the first two releases for free if you bought tickets to their release show. I was hoping the new album would come out sooner. Back in around July of last year they were projecting a Nov 2014 release date. I hope they're not too far off schedule. It sounds like the new album is pretty ambitious - a rock opera double album about Patrick's mania - so maybe he still has a lot of writing to do.

I hear ya. I never bought into their Super Deluxe VIP Pre-Order for the album which will be released sometime in the very distant future back when they did that around a year ago. I ended up buying this because I felt somewhat confident they'd pull through. Although, I wouldn't be shocked if they gave up after one or two releases - especially considering how erratic Stickles is. If that's the case, I suppose I'm making a charitable donation to a band I love...

Titus Andronicus announced that they will be releasing a series of seven 7"s over the course of the next 49 weeks - a new seven inch every seven weeks. It was announced during a two hour "press conference" by Patrick Stickles. The subscription is $45 + $18 shipping and can be found on their web store. Each 7" is limited to 400 copies and the first 7" will be released on 7/7/14. The first release will contain the songs "Titus Andronicus", "Fear and Loathing in Mawah, NJ", "Arms Against Atrophy" and an unreleased song, "Talking Oral Fixation Blues". The remaining releases will be splits - each one containing a new Titus song. Since the press conference was so draining both mentally and physically, I'm just going to copy and paste Pitchfork's report -

Either do I. I've only come to learn about some features by trying to craft badges. I primarily only play single player games, but it seems like it would be good to have a group if you're looking for people to join up with.

I wasn't crazy about Max Payne 3,but that may be more of a personal taste than an indictment of the game. It wasn't terribly unique, but if you're into that type of game than $6 isn't a bad price.
