$16 shipping? Am I missing something? I was going to order this along with Ancients, but it was $29 just for shipping

Aspid - Extravasation
I've seen it on Discogs a couple times, but they're either out of my price range, or the deal sounds sketchy. There's one listed right now for just under $400, but the seller is in Russia and only accepts cash in the mail as a form of payment. nope.avi

It's difficult to rank albums now, even though I used to try to do it all the time. Stuff is constantly changing and it's rare that an album really stays with me overtime through a lot of life livin. I'll do my best.
Stnnng- Dignified Sissy
Bibio - Ambivalence Avenue
Caddywhompus - The Weight
The Books - The Lemon Of Pink
The Growlers - Are You In Or Out?
Tobacco - Maniac Meat
The Twilight Sad - Fourteen Autumns And Fifteen Winters
Mr. Oizo - Moustache (Half A Scissor)
Daniel Johnston - 1990
Them, Roaring Twenties - Future Sandwich
That'll probably have to do for now. Good to see The Field gettin some love.
I'm not really a big fan of Pink Floyd either. Nothing really wrong with em, they just don't seem as mind-bendingly awesome as everyone has always said they were.
I never expected to see Them, Roaring Twenties on here. Shit's dope

It's on my top 10. I'm sure it's in Brian's top 20. It is THE quintessential BTBAM album. I think 'White Walls' is one of the best songs ever written. I sure as fuck hope you would dig it. Honestly, just play it. BTBAM is in a league all their own. They all have music degrees from Berkeley, and can make music like nothing you've ever heard before. These can play whatever genre they want, and have them flow into any arrangement flawlessly. It's like no other. It's progressive metal at its finest. Please, just go listen. I don't even want to describe it. I want you to play it going in blind. It'll make it that much more enjoyable.

This thread isn't about you. Ease up, son.
But he's the self appointed defender of VC!

I don't think anyone had positive karma on the Proboards version of VC. I remember when Kriss Stress and his wife joined and tried to make VC this super posi punx place and they had the only positive karma out of anyone on the board. So I smited both those accounts every chance I got to restore order, and he ended up quitting the board and making his own board because of it. VC sucked in the old days, it sucks now, it will probably always suck. Just like everything else.

If you're in the game your not wasting a hard pull on a retail card.
I had a friend who used to sign up for cards, that have great signup bonuses (spend 3k in 3 months for 50k points) he would use the card to order 3k of dollar coins from the U.S. mint (they were trying to push these into circulation, so they shipped for free). He would then call his bank and tell them he had a large coin deposit. He'd then used the coins he just orders on his CC to pay it off and suddenly have ~$400 in airline travel or hotel stays. This was before the mint started capping orders and when CC issuers stopped counting purchases from the Mint towards the required spend. The days....
Sometimes you can get by with buying gift cards, but a lot of banks will take adverse action if they catch you manufacturing spending. It's a really gray area, so I wouldn't buy just GCs to meet spending requirements

I would recommend going for the combination of the Discover it and the Chase Freedom with their rotating 5% categories. The quarterly categories are usually different (with the exception of this quarter, they're both Amazon), so you should be able to use both cards pretty frequently. Like Twistedshabazz mentioned, you also get 1% back on everything not in the rotating categories.
Discover was running a double cashback promotion, essentially making the it card a 10% category/2% everywhere card, but I'm not sure if that's still going on. And if you're into Apple Pay, they were running a promotion where if you used Apple Pay for your Discover it card, you would get 10% back (20% if you were enrolled in the double cashback promo)
Since you only get 1% back on everything not listed in the rotating categories, I like to pair those with the Citi Double Cash. You get 1% on purchases, and 1% on payments, so it is basically a 2% cash back on everything card if you pay in full.
One other good thing about the Discover it and the Citi Double Cash is that they provide a true FICO score to you each month. Discover's score is a Transunion score, while Citi's score is an Equifax score. The Blue Cash card that Tardcore mentioned provides an Experian FICO score. It's pretty helpful to have those 3 cards, so you won't have to pay for a score with any monitoring website like myFico.
All of the cards listed above have no annual fee. The Blue Cash card comes in 2 varieties, the Everyday and the Preferred. The BCE has no annual fee, but you only get 3% at grocery stores and 2% at gas stations, as opposed to the 6% and 3% respectively on the BCP. The BCP does come with a $75 annual fee, so depending on your spending patterns, it might be more wise to go with the BCE to maximize your rewards.
Any of these cards can be attained with an average credit score. I would check with Credit Karma first to get a ballpark of what your score is around. I would say if CK shows you at 680+ on both bureaus for their scoring model you should be good to apply for these cards.
Oh, and if anyone wants a referral to Discover it, Chase Sapphire Preferred, or the Blue Cash Everyday, send me a PM and we can both make money

On the off chance that someone wants to see Death Cab in Cincinnati this Friday, I have 2 tickets that I am unable to use. Face value is $45 I believe. Looking to get $50 for the pair. Shoot me a PM if you're interested

United is getting a fucking earful tomorrow. This is beyond ridiculous. 3/4 of my flights were delayed, 2 longer than 2 hours.

I don't care (and I doubt the band does either) but that youtube link doesn't look very official...
Derrick seemed pissed about the leak when I asked him about the new song. The official video should be up soon
