Decided to skip out on the expedit and have a coworker build me this. Based off of this lpbin.com but solid wood and half the price.

I currently have the black-brown expedit, but I'm going to get rid of it and buy the birch one. The dark one shows too much dust and dog hair. Does anyone know how sturdy these are http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30170864/ I'm thinking about putting my LP's in those on the expedit.

I'm guessing 40 grit sandpaper would work best?

Any damage I may cause will be due to my own stupidity, I wouldn't blame someone trying to give some advice.

So, I bought a new copy of Cursed III and the b side skips really bad. I've read that using a toothpick or sewing needle on the spots that skip can help solve the problem. The idea of doing this kind of scares me, anyone have any recommendations on the best way to do it or if I even should do it?
