WTB:IHateMyself,Pung,StrikeforceDiablo,ArmyOfPonch

If you like Army of Ponch, you should check out Mower and Special Patrol Group, both featuring Leo & Gui pre-AOP. I believe they had another band before mower...boxtruck or something like that. The South is Cookin' came on clear white and blue. I have a big box of these left. One day i'll get off my ass and offer them up again. Also i had a freebie CD-r called Floriduh - The Bootleg and featured live songs from I Hatemyself and Army of Ponch, among others. Cheers, -

Mr. Foremost Atom Collection: What color was the Redfining LP pressed on? Did all "rockage" 7"s come with an eye patch? (p.s. it's one of the hardest records to store in my collection due to that damn eyepatch) thanks. -

Acetates and Test Pressing
gristlejaw replied to ripplemusic's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I've started doing this in my spare time. It's way fun. I'm using 12"x12" chipboard and paste a trimmed up 11x17 color copy i've printed at work. I try to use elements from the artwork associated with the band or album, but never an exact copy. (some examples below) -

KING FRIDAY "Everything Is Not Okay" LP w/ free CD
gristlejaw replied to addrecords's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Fully backed. Label and band. Thanks again Dave for the great service! -
This was an official release. It was pressed in Germany for distribution in europe. Only imports were available for the US. These sell for 200+ on ebay usually. good luck finding one. Neil recently mentioned in a interview that they'd be interested in getting the rights back to their major label albums...but don't hold your breath. I'm gonna look into getting Transnational, Elephant Riders and PRF as 1-off lathe cuts/dub plates for my collection.

Clutch - Blast Tyrant > vinyl info?
gristlejaw replied to gud's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Haven't heard anything in awhile....just that it's coming eventually. I'm sure weathermaker is spreading things out intentionally. I really hope they offer colored vinyl versions through indie merch this time around. The colored vinyl SCFTW was going for mad money on ebay. ugh. -

records melted in the mail?
gristlejaw replied to shenanigans's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Living in Florida we have the fear of heat warping records nearly all year long. It is very nerve racking getting records through the mail during the summer months. I always tell the sender to put "Keep out of Sunlight/Do Not Bend" on the exterior of the packaging. I moved during the summer once...talk about being nervous. For the most part, I've been lucky as the only 2 times i've severely warped a record was leaving a record in the car for too long. One time it was just 10 minutes going between record stores....the other time i left a record in the car for the whole day...that one was bowl-shaped. -

Clutch - Strange Cousins From the West Vinyl
gristlejaw replied to sugarballs's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Apparently there will be black vinyl, clear vinyl, "beer" colored vinyl, and beer/clear mix. unfortunately colored copies will only be available at shows, which means we can expect to be gouged by ebay prices later on. Here's a link to the packaging....amazing layout w/ gold/silver foil and die-cutting. http://www.metalinsider.net/packaging/exclusive-walkthrough-of-new-clutch-vinyl-packaging The Company Band vinyl is out. I got mine through Amazon and appears to be limited to 1000 on black vinyl. Yes, Weathermaker said it will be pressing Robot Hive, Blast Tyrant & Beale Street on vinyl too. Don't hold your breath for ever seeing Pure Rock Fury, Elephant Riders or Transnational on vinyl...The rights are owned by major labels. The self-titled was released in limited quantities in europe and command ridiculous prices nowadays. It is totally exhilarating as a Clutch fan and vinyl nerd seeing this band turn themselves around from having a catalog with virtually no vinyl to extremely vinyl friendly. I think i'm gonna have some custom reference lacquers made for PRF, TNSL and ER, just so i can have everything on vinyl.
