  1. i have "mutiny pop" and "make sound" on vinyl...both are so damn good. look forward to getting more of their stuff. any word on when "learn the hard way" will be pressed?
  2. Definitely. There's some really great ones (by far my favorite being the Bouncing Souls documentary). Maybe test the water with some proven titles and see where it goes. Kev
  3. remastered? if not, i'm ok with the orig.
  4. good to hear, from one night to the next afternoon, all i had was pesky work that got in the way and i missed out on these. i don't care about colors, i care about the music. hope to have these sooner than later.
  5. does the deluxe version make the album listenable? ba-zing.
  6. i never just purchased a cd / lp by just looking at it, but the few i have bought without hearing more than a song from the band / good reviews have been bands that i still love: avail - 4am friday dropkick murphys - the gang's all here kid dynamite - s/t (bought just because it was dan yemin's new band)
  7. this thread makes me glad i don't collect colors / stuff from no idea...some of these pressings look like you need a microscope and a lab result to determine what color they are.
  8. thats the answer i wanted to hear. i think they are for vertical use.
  9. today i got the one that is pictured above and went a step beyond and got the legs to have it off the ground. they had one on display 4x2 with the legs, so i went with that. slymer, where did you put support brackets or did you not bother since its sideways?
  10. really? makes sense to me. maybe this is some philosophical issue.
  11. this is the one that i think i've seen sideways...all 4 walls look to be the same material. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70103085 i don't have a lot of records, maybe 150. i've outgrown the bottom section of a night table and the ikea piece i posted would serve me well.
  12. yea i know about the pic and not laying the big one sideways...do they make one that is 2 tiers instead of being exclusively vertical? ps scott...best sig pic ever... "bullseye!" "hey, you made me lose my train of thought...." "dental plan!"
  13. In re-arranging my room, I need a different setup to store my records, since where they were is now against my baseboard, a bad idea for vinyl to be near heat. I want to get something that is longer than it is tall, like a 2-level bookshelf. I see the expedits on Ikea's website but it seems they can only go vertically. Can they be laid sideways? Any suggestions? Kev
  14. fuck i thought i'd add a chuck ragan lp to this to make it a bigger order...9.25 shipping. just the 7", then.
  15. and that 5k will be tough to find. 5k for alk3 is not a ton. can i fit this post with any more letter/number combos? y2k? y2j? mu330?
  16. mine is numbered 1057, another sign there are more than 1,000 of these out there 9first being the unnumbered copies). kev
  17. i've seen that they have some shows booked but haven't seen much past that...where did u get that info?
  18. More importantly Virgil, what beers are these? I can spot the easy ones (Guiness and Blue Moon)...what are the other two? We need some quality beer discussion to go alongside quality vinyl discussion. My beers of choice lately - Keegan's Mother's Milk, Spaten Maibach, Paulaner Hefeveisen, Brooklyn Brown, Bluepoint Blueberry.
  19. Have this on vinyl. Wish I jumped on the chance to have it signed. I'm not huge on getting things signed but that record would look damn sweet with signatures in that white space at the bottom of the artwork. AMAZING album, btw. There was a stretch I listened to this album every day for about a year.
  20. glad this is up for pre-order. picked up a black copy. virgil, any way some of the stuff in the combo (namely the poster) will be available individually for this release / future releases? personally, i get one copy of an album and call it a day, and will go for extras on their own. either way, glad to be getting this release. definitely looking forward to it. kev
  21. someone a few above me hit it that i really wouldn't sell / trade any of my records unless i stopped listening to the band (i recognize that sig pic from b9). but, if i had to only keep a few, it would be (since this is basically a brag what u have thread): saves the day - i'm sorry i'm leaving - white with faint black streaks alkaline trio - godammit (orig) alkaline trio - maybe i'll catch fire avail - 4am friday (first lp i bought, in pretty shitty shape after my art teacher in high school borrowed it) farside - scrap (took a while to get that one) jimmy eat world - bleed american (grand royal pressing)
  22. mine skips on the opening notes of the first track.
  23. wow...psyched to be on of the 3000 to get one. also think i might have been one of the first 300 to get that cd. sweet.
  24. Thats not entirely true as the first press of Tell All Your Friends has the Victory label as I am sure some of the others do. But for Full Collapse this is true. that's why i wrote "most" just jokin, i'm not exactly an expert on victory vinyl. i think the last band i liked on victory was in fact thursday.
