  1. that's a possibility, jesse. then again, even had i done the monologue in a way such that you were content with it, i'd still need people to know about the contest and vote. in reality, it's all going to be up to Vince Gilligan (creator of Breaking Bad) to decide who deserves to win. so, if i become a finalist and still don't win, you can feel proud that you and he share the same opinion. that's about the best i can offer you. and to everyone else... plllleeeeeeeeeaaassseeee?
  2. just an update: i DID break 200 and am (at this second) 3 away from tying 5th place! thanks thanks thanks! you're not going to like this part, but i'm trying to get anyone with a facebook account to post the link around 5pm today. hopefully if people who haven't votes or cared see a couple references, they'll succumb to peer pressure. http://blogs.amctv.com/breaking-bad-contest/2009/04/tim-friedman.php dumb? totally. sorry for it? you betcha. hopefully worth being a douchebag to be on an awesome tv show? mm hmmm. oh! and i got my mountain goats/john vanderslice 12" today!
  3. Same here. I'm ecstatic about Odenkirk being a part of the show. I see him being an integral part of the series. Not a couple episode arc. On a personal note: I keep bouncing in and out of the top ten. I have 157 votes and would love to break 200 tomorrow. Again, if you've got alternate e-mail addresses, I could sure use the boost. Thanks again for getting me where I am. I just want to make sure it's not all for naught. http://blogs.amctv.com/breaking-bad-contest/2009/04/tim-friedman.php
  4. i'm now within three votes of the top ten! as soon as i'm within the top ten, my entry will be on the "most votes" sidebar! ahhhh!!!!
  5. so great. thank you guys so much. i'm closing in on the top ten!
  6. that's my very first karma! thanks! and thanks 'username!' i think i'm currently 13th!
  7. adam, i posted this on four other boards. i'd like very much to win and thought i could ask for the help of some people who have similar interests as me. i'm not entirely convinced it was a bad move on my part. jesse, i'm perfectly content knowing that you won't vote because you formed an opinion on my talent, or lack thereof. i appreciate your taking the time to watch. i will, with admitted bias, add that i think the majority of videos in the contest (even those with more votes) are worse. regardless, i thank you for giving me a shot. if more of you would like to criticize me for asking for help to win the opportunity to appear on a television show i love, feel free. you have the right.
  8. ha. well, that's a start, trizz. voting ends monday morning (may 4th). so, i've got less than a week to be a contend-ah. ...you've got as much "karma" as i do posts. hm. http://blogs.amctv.com/breaking-bad-contest/2009/04/tim-friedman.php
  9. flicker, i think you mean "posts." and you're right. i'm more of a lurker on these boards and have been for about a year and a half. i usually just pm about trades, rather than post. i am genuinely sorry that i've somehow offended you, but i suppose you can do your part in protest by not voting. i do wish you'd reconsider, however, since i'm not asking much. dante, you may want to rethink the drug deals via splatter vinyl communities. on the other hand, i have zero experience in meth sales. just meth human resources. i really hope this doesn't turn into a negative thread. i was just hoping for some help from some like-minded individuals. thanks for reading. tim.
  10. Absolutely every vote counts. Just take a second and vote. Pretty please.
  11. ---- i'm not altering this initial post, save for to tell you that i'm updating via new posts. ---- Hey everyone. I could really use your help. In about two minutes you could make my life so much cooler. Please hear me out. I've entered myself into a contest through AMC. I could win the opportunity to be on an episode of Breaking Bad. Firstly, I hope you're watching this show, because it's phenomenal. Bryan Cranston (the dad from Malcolm In The Middle) plays a high school chemistry teacher that is diagnosed with lung cancer and, to leave his pregnant wife and teenager with MS enough money to be comfortable, he starts cooking and selling crystal meth with a former student. So, I recorded myself performing a monologue from the show and you can watch it and vote for me. The videos with the most votes will be reviewed by the show's creator and the winner will be on an episode and win $1000. It's simple. You register with AMC (create a username and password) and then vote. The leader currently has only 330-ish votes, so I could actually win this thing. So, here's the link. Please take thirty seconds to vote for me. It would mean a lot. Also, note the Anathallo print and the vinyl wall-hanging (that my girlfriend made) in the background. blogs.amctv.com/breaking-bad-contest/2009/04/tim-friedman.php
  12. I wish you'd have posted this a few days prior. I would have not purchased from them. I just opened a paypal dispute to hopefully get my money back. the anathallo camp is so nice. they don't deserve this poor excuse for representation.
  13. You're probably right. I've never sold any CDs on eBay, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I still have several piles that I'd like to sell off. I'll offer them here before going the eBay route next time. But, for now, most of the auctions end tonight.
  14. I uploaded the first bunch of CDs I'm selling on eBay last night. I (like most of you) am making room for more records. I figure maybe one of you wants one of these things. And don't make fun of me for the autographed BNL CD. Thank you. eBayz! And, again, I'll be selling off more and more over the next couple weeks. Tim.
  15. I haven't decided on any prices yet, so if you'd just like to make an offer, please do so. 16. I don't know if anyone here is into Frank Zappa, but I got these rarer Japanese imports of his albums packaged in mini LP replica sleeves. Maybe a nice Christmas gift. Anyway, here's the link. http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/devoutinfidel_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_mdoZ
  17. Don't sell your Bears LP. It's too good.
  18. also, the now it's overhead records should (have been/be) pressed on vinyl. so good.
  19. nah. mine looks like that. thanks very much for your quickness though. i'm trying to determine which CDs i have that are rarer that I'd like to sell. so far, i've got a stack including a sufjan stevens(Illinois, with superman), two self-released we are scientists eps, and some shins live disc that may have been part of a fan club thing. i can't really find it online.
  20. i have this on cd. released by divot. how do i tell if it's the rarer first pressing? can you post a picture of what yours looks like?
