Here's some good news. Thanks to you all for helping me out in this endeavor. It looks like all the support we've received (especially from VC) has helped us get a substantial chunk for vet bills and given us the opportunity to halt any further selling for now. Maybe bad news for some of you, but good news for me. I'll know later in the week if it's going to mean way more in bills and I'll update here and re-open the offers. Thanks again for all of the love and help you guys gave us. Okay, if anyone happens to read this before sending any new offers, cool. If not, that's fine. I've never sold a record before today, and although it's not what I wanted to do, it's been such a pleasure talking to some of you. Feeling really overwhelmed by all this support. Gosh.

I had a few friends who were just starting to get into collecting. I had just gotten a new job a few days before Thrice - The Alchemy Index box set went up for pre-order. Seemed like a good place to start with my favorite band.

 

That whole order was a bit of a mess with delays and I believe I got impatient to finally own a record, so I went shopping once before it actually came in the mail, but I could be wrong. If so, then I remember buying The Receiving End of Sirens - The Earth Sings Mi Fa Mi and Pulling Teeth - Paranoid Delusions | Paradise Illusions that day.

That HT color sounds great. So so excited to hear this.

Finally got my package. All looks well. I tried to order one of the brown-bone that was more on the yellow side, and ended up with another pale one. They're technically not different as far as pressing info goes, so I think I'm just being a snot. Whirr collection picture incoming soon.

Hm. Maybe the last one is greenish and the second to last is teal?

Been way too anxious to get my package with all those Whirr variants. Still no shipping info. Hoping it just shows up soon.

Just got my package of all of them. Packaged really well and everything looks good. Cream & Green is missing a lot of the green, but it still looks nice.

Seems like everyone agreesth at Nothing's half stealing the show, but I'd have to disagree. I love both of their songs, but I definitely think Whirr takes it on this. I am admittedly a bit biased, but I still think Whirr kills it on these two songs.

Just got my leather copy in. Honestly, I think it's great. I'm using some books to flatten out the top a bit, but I think it was packaged well and I think it was worth the wait.

Listening to Pipe Dreams with the newly arranged order and wow. Really cool. Definitely better so far.

So awesome to see them give a positive experience out of a difficult time. It's actually inspired me to share my own little Whirr story, although mine comes from a pleasant time.

 

For Christmas this past year, my girlfriend of 5 years (Amy) contacted Nick about sending some of our records out to him to be signed by the band and returning them back. Instead, he picked out his copies of Distressor on 180g and the 2nd press of Around and got them signed by everyone, and included a nice surprise. I have every Whirr variant ever pressed, so to have this piece to add to my collection is so cool. Anyway, here's the surprise I got:

 

Mine is definitely warped also, but plays fine for the most part. Also, I definitely got more bone than brown. I think it looks good.

When I really started getting in to records I would pick up variants of certain bands as they came out but I've pared down most of my collection to just one of whatever album/record now.

This is exactly how I am now. I used to get every 3 pack or 4 pack, but now I stick to collecting 2 bands and get one of everything else.

Right on dude, thanks. I figured that was it, but he said there were two different posters. One of them wasn't out on the merch table, but he asked and got hooked up with one. Said it was white, numbered, etc.

Not sure if anybody managed to grab a pic of their merch from SF?

Same poster, just white with black print. Otherwise, I forgot to take a picture of the 2 shirts. Seeing them again tonight, so I'll take one then.
