  1. I finally got around to listening to the Dead To Me record. Having read mixed reviews I decided to see them live before listening to the record. I went to their CD release show in San Francisco last weekend and enjoyed them. They weren't as good as the other times I have seen them. Jack voice and stage presence was pretty key to the overall Dead To Me sound. I didn't hate the record, it was actually a decent Clashish record. It just didn't feel like a Dead To Me record.
  2. Do you mean Gold Country? The pressing information for the second pressing of Gold Country is: Clear with Gold, Bronze, Beer Splatter (VC) = 300 Blue/Grey Half and Half (NIR) = 300 Clear = 500
  3. I've always gotten the impression that Virgil doesn't post on this board, read threads regarding his releases, or drink beer and whiskey. But that's just the impression I've gotten. Could be wrong. :
  4. If you like skramz/screamo type stuff, you'll probably dig the other bands. The music isn't happy like circus ska or anything but it's pretty cool and the lyrics don't strike painful notes. It works for me. I hope it works for you.
  5. I deal with depression regularly. When times are really tough, I tend to listen to crazy hardcore stuff that the lyrics are screamed and I can't understand them. International hardcore is good for this. Daitro, Raein, Sed Non Satieta, Ekkaia, Gantz, La Quiete, Louise Cyphre, stuff like that...skramz/screamo I guess. Or I put on Strike Anywhere because they rule, are fun to sing along with and tend to sing about politics. Also, Avail. If I really want to feel my pain, Tim Barry, Small Brown Bike, and early Alkaline Trio do a great job of that for me.
  6. I was a traditional skinhead for many years. I still ride scooters and hang out with skinheads, just not really my thing any more. In America (for Europe/England the below information may not apply), it's actually fairly easy to tell a racist skinhead (commonly referred to as a bonehead by traditional/sharp skins). If you see a skinhead who is dressed nice and generally takes pride in his/her appearance, 99% of the time they will be traditional/sharp. Boneheads rarely sport the whole skinhead look (ben sherman, fred perry, docs, levi's). Also, this may sound weird, but length of hair is also an indication. Traditional/sharp skins rarely shave their heads with a razor. Most shave it with a 1 or 2 guard on the clippers. If you have any questions, PM me and I'll answer them to the best of my ability. Spirit of 69 is a boring read but will explain the fashion side of the skinhead movement as well as the history. Skinhead Nation is a little more interesting as it is more current but doesn't really go into the history aspect of the movement.
  7. I only wear black. I tend to ruin all other colors. I wear a size large shirt in all brands. My favorite bands are Hot Water Music, Strike Anywhere, and His Hero Is Gone. I’m not a big fan of Fat bands, ska-punk stuff, or pop-punk…with some exceptions though. My tradelist has a section that explains what I’m into pretty well. I don’t post a lot but have been on the board for a while now. I’m vegan. Blah blah blah.
  8. Panic - Demo 7" from the reunion show. I've only seen it on ePay once and I got out bid. 500 pressed so it's not really rare per say, just can't seem to find one. The reunion show was in Sweden I think, so it's a Euro record. Limp Wrist - Japanese Tour One-Sided 12"...only a handful sold in the US. It's hard to find pressing information for the record. It was recently released in the US and in Europe. I'd still like to get a hold of the tour version though. Those are my current white whales.
  9. I'd buy Sirens and Making of a Conversation. Press them both.
  10. Either way, a lot of black copies are out there, be it 1000 or 1500.
  11. Fair enough. I could've swore my homie from Pirates Press told me 1500 on black. No biggie.
  12. Tale of Two Sisters was recently remade, I think it was called "The Uninvited". I didn't see the remake but I saw the original. I too like horror movies but I'm not the biggest fan of the older films. Some of my current favorites are: Inside Frontier(s) Black House Them Calviere Art Of The Devil 1 and 2 [REC] I also like some of the After Dark Horrorfest films of late.
  13. Give Me Back http://www.givemeback.org/givemeback.html They took over where HeartattaCk left off.
  14. I'm not new per-say, but I have less than 1000 posts. I participated in this last year. Do I need to have someone vouch for me to participate again?
  15. It came directly from Chuck that it's not a bootleg. My friend Ryan (whatelse on this board) is putting out the 9" split with Chuck for the revival tour. He asked Chuck about this record since it looks like a bootleg.
  16. It's not a bootleg. I had a friend who knows Chuck ask him.
