yeah you're right, idreamofpunk I dunno what this dude's problem is, I'm just a little shocked because I've chatted with quite a few really nice, helpful people on this board and this guy just decided to randomly antagonize me. Oh well!

yup. the color of the record definitely makes it sound better and impacts operating a turn table! you were so quick to point out your dismay this was getting pressed on some colored vinyl. do you get the same satisfaction out of operating a blender or toaster, because those are appliances, which is all a turn table really is when you get down to it. and you have Sundials? plus some of their other next to impossible to come by records? i highly doubt you were able to get that in only one month's time of collecting. lastly, you seemed satisfied you over paid for a record yet you felt the need to excalim your disgust at this re-press coming out for a fraction of the price. The color part goes hand in hand with "I like finding variants." And I think operating a turntable is much more satisfying than a cd player, just like (to borrow your cooking metaphor) operating appliances to cook your food is more personally satisfying than ordering from the drive through. Also, I don't have sundials, but I do have the Halloween single, Blue meanies split, and a few others that I was able to pick up. I'm sorry you have doubts about my abilities to search for things on the internet I'm glad I got the record, I just wish I could have got a hold of a cheaper repress earlier. you are in this for the wrong reasons. and i highly doubt you have their entire discography, especially being able to track everything down in a month. but i wouldnt completely rule it out considering your dumb ass dropped 45 on this album alone. Dude what's with the personal attack? >.> Look, I like collecting vinyl because it sounds great, there's something satisfying to me about operating a turntable, and I really enjoy the thrill of the hunt of tracking down variants of some of my favorite albums. Whatever my reasons are, who are you to dictate what are the right reasons, sir? And let me clarify my word choice...I own all their whole STUDIO ALBUM discography and various 7", splits and such. My apologies. And according to popsike, Infirmary's going for close to 40 bucks, so I don't mind dropping to extra 5 for a copy. This is a cool board, why can't you be respectful man?

wow...I JUST got into collecting about a month ago and the first thing I made sure to get was Trio's entire discography (love them to death). Dropped 45 on Infirmary on ebay and now it's getting repressed for cheaper AND on some cool colors?!?! sigh...collecting can be rough :/

Hey guys, I'm a very new collector (although I'm proud to say I own a few gems). I got into this hobby because my girlfriend recently got me a Jensen JTA 460 for my birthday, what with me being a music junkie and all. It's a very affordable table, but since I've never really had any comparison I was hoping to get anyone else's overall opinion of this system. Also, when I do eventually upgrade, what would you recommend as a good new table for 200 or under (I don't have the best luck at garage sales)? Your help is greatly appreciated!

I'm a big fan of Circa and I've seen them 3 times, but I won't even TRY to get their stuff on vinyl. I just saw the picdisc of OLG on ebay for 100+, Juturna pic for 200 :/ On the bright side, I do have all their albums on cd, and I even have BSN signed by the whole band (minus the drummer). I'm kind of a newbie here so this may sound dumb...but why is it that EVERYONE AND THEIR MOM is looking to buy/sell Brand New albums (especially Deja and Devil&God)? Serious question!
