That's fucked up. Hot Topic, and especially Travis, go through a lot of effort to get these pressed. No clue why some fuckwit in the warehouse would be purposefully damage these records, but the cuts are so random that it simply doesn't look accidental. In jaba1337's picture of the actual record, the cut is very deep on the right side, and it gets less deep as the cut moves to the left. Very characteristic of a human making that mark, rather than a machine. The smaller cut on the jacket looks like a quick stab someone made with a box cutter. Not only were these marks done by a person, but they appear to be intentional.

I got a bootleg from them that skipped pretty badly. When I e-mailed them asking for a replacement, they told me they'd give me 4 euro discount if I wanted to order a second copy.

Pretty sure Hot Topic has no say in how a record is pressed, or the quality of the release. I think Travis contacts the label, the label is responsible putting the entire package together, and then the final product gets shipped to Hot Topic for distribution. That's why you never see a Hot Topic logo with the other record label logos, just a sticker on the plastic wrap.

I placed the order, I hope there's enough copies left for it to go through.

Always interesting to me when a band or artist switches labels. Seems like they feel less constrained to stick with the style of their previous albums and are more open to experimentation and progression. I'm sure the band is also excited to be on a new label, so their motivations should be pretty high.

Just got done spinning this, sounds great! The silver/gray goes well with the album cover IMO. And it's not just a boring, dull gray like the picture above might suggest. Thanks again for putting this together Travis.

I think it's possible for some orders to not go through (declined credit cards, cancelled orders, etc) and so they get re-stocked at some point.

Thanks a lot for doing this Travis. Two records I always wanted on vinyl were A City By The Light Divided and Pass The Flask, and you delivered both.

Any idea when these will start shipping? I just remembered I won't be here next week to bring my order inside.

Amazon e-mailed me earlier saying I was being upgraded to 'release date delivery'. With SRC also announcing it, that date looks promising. Can the title of this post be changed since the vinyl release is pretty much official? Also, Respect The Classics' site says the Slim Shady LP, Eminem Show and 8 Mile soundtrack reissues are out now. I think this was recently updated, so it wouldn't surprise me if those dates are accurate.

Doubt it, I've never known any messed up pressings (sound wise) to be sought after.
