Strawberry Wine is one of the best tracks on the album.

Def agree with this statement...

Wow OK. Called ssd and they said they are still awaiting extra stock to arrive. Guess I should have gone with amazon.
Amazon will stick it in your butt too...

Worst thing I saw this weekend was Brendan Kelly solo acoustic. I kinda figured it would be since he hasn't put out a single thing worth listening to in almost 15 years but wow was that awful. Buddy and I just sat there laughing.

Both Blue Meanies sets were awesome. Cerebral Ballsy was a real nice surprise. Enjoyed The Cure as well.

Never got really into Ryan Adams but I've been digging this album a ton. I listened to Ashes and Fire when it came out - but besides that and a few tracks from Gold, not really sure where start with him. Anyone have any suggestions?
If you like the new album, Rock N Roll is a likely progression for your next album.

Also went up at shop radio earlier this week.
Yeah, I don't trust those tards though. I think they were screwing some folks over on the 1984 release.

New single "No Shadow" up for sale at Bull Moose

I Think it is happening given how much he has talked about it in the press in the last few weeks, plus playing the 2 tracks from it. But yes, I understand the hesitation to get excited.
It was also stated in an article that there are plans for it to be released for Record Store Day (i know you already know that though, haha)

why did you downvote everyone on this page?
Thought it would be funny, does it really matter?
Though, you're welcome for the link...

Does a couple 1984 songs at the end of the stream.

That said, you guys should check out the Shadows from the World Cafe session a couple days ago. Really good. While still flawed in some areas, I'm seeing a lot of improvements from this band since their Newport show. I'm now cautiously optimistic. The Peaceful Valley is also pretty good from that World Cafe session

This is a generic Rock N' Roll album. Would never make my Top 10 Ryan Adams album list but at least it's probably better than Ashes & Fire. Looking forward to Blackhole. The Door is killer.

Brendan Kelly added to Blue Meanies after show Sat night.

just looked at the ost listing. this thing is like a classic rock greatest hits album. probably worth it just to hear all these songs on vinyl without changing records every song to recreate it. especially if the pressing quality is superb
This. Used to have this soundtrack on CD. Loved it when I was a kid. Great compilation of tunes.

"I'm going to release a single every month until I can't do it any more."
Also, regarding 1984: ...the American vinyl is now sold out...
So the singles seem like they'll be (somewhat) limited

Why not? Easy money.

Blue Meanies, Primus and The Cure. Sunday has a pretty awesome lineup.

"1984" is on Spotify, and it definitely sounds better, to answer TimBRH's question!
Found it on What?
Definitely sounds better. Probably because they jammed all the songs onto a 7". Probably should have been a 10", TBH

Cool, thx. I'll do the same when if I stumble across it as well.

Not sure if you were making fun of me or not.
I'm not planning to buy again. I'm good with what I've got.
I get that "quality" and "fidelity" may not have been the most appropriate terms to use here. All I meant was that rip is a bit washed out at times and it would have been nice to have digital included for mobile listening.
Nope, basically just want an answer to what I asked. I'm gonna wait for it to hit a torrent site (because I don't pay for the same things twice) regardless but want to know if there's an upgrade to be had with the iTunes tracks. If not, I won't even bother keeping an eye out.
-
Nice that it's available digitally separate from a rip, but a real bummer that we have to pay for it again. I love it, but the fidelity of the 7 leaves a bit to be desired. I can't decide if I should bite the bullet and re-buy or not.
Let me know if there's a quality increase w/ the iTunes tracks versus the 7"

FYI, 1984 is up for purchase on iTunes and it comes with a bonus track. New song called "Look In The Mirror" which doesn't seem to have any relation to any of the 1984 tracks. Still pretty good though.

Throw Ryan Adams on as a Riot Fest headliner and people would be like, WTF is this shit? Has Riot Fest sold out? Then he goes and does his set and people realize that he's way more punk than all of the teenie bopper pop punk bands on the bill with him. Would be epic.
