  1. Finally caught up. Best episode of the season. I hope the shit hits the fan this week down on the creepy farm.

The beauty of 12 episode seasons is that even if they can't make the first half interesting the second is almost always good. Hoping we hit the apex of the arc soon and the episodes stay good.

  2. Yea I was attempting to DL some stuff earlier and that popped up on the site I went to. I exited out of it and kept going with my business. Prank? Spam? No idea.

The Protect IP act in the senate (The SOPA in the House) would allow the government to block access to websites if copyright holders can prove infringement. Sometimes they will block BEFORE infringement is proven.

Anything you see today isn't really blocked, this isn't even law yet, it's more of a show of solidarity against the bill.

Make no mistake though, this is bad news.

  3. I'm also playing as a dark elf. Using destruction magic for the most part, but I also use sneak and bow when I'm clearing some bandits out or something. I've been power-leveling my smithing so I can grab my dragonscale stuff, and also leveling enchanting so I can add a 25% destruction magic reduction one to each piece. I'm not sure how much time I have in it, but it's a good amount.

There is so much nerd win right here.

  4. I'm a loyalist but I hate that feeling of wasted potential every week.

This sort of nails it on the head for me. After every episode or plot arc I think that while it was good, I wish they had focused on "x" instead.

As you said (T.V. vs. comic) the writing seems very tasked focused. I feel like they have their major arc and then a bunch of minor episode to episode stuffs but no continuity between the two. The smaller items rarely seem to forward the larger story so nothing of consequence happens.

  5. Been drinking a lot of Wolaver's sample packs lately. Not a bad brew in the bunch. Vermont has some good beer.

Hill Farmstead and Lawson's Finest Liquids are killing it right now. If you or anyone makes it to VT make sure to try those.

I know this one is hyped to shit but had my first this year in San Francisco. It was great.

  6. You're probably right, it'll continue to be a bit of polemic because at the core it is a character driven drama that happens to involve zombies and isn't paced like a basic cable show.

The problem I have is that it isn't a particularly great character driven drama. More like "The Killing" and less like "Mad Men". That said, it is always just good enough to keep me watching. Damn them.

  7. Is it online or single player or both? If both does the single player hold up or do most people go straight to online play?

Single player only. Decent main quest with lots of side quests involving the standard fare. Thieves guilds, wizards guilds, finding rare weapons, etc. It looks pretty deep and if your an RPG fan you'll probably like.

Typical complaint is the combat system is monotonous, but that didn't ruin it for me. I'll be picking up at midnight tonight. Nerd style.

  8. I can't be the only one at this point who genuinely doesn't care what happened to Sofia at this point can I? Either there's a huge reveal with her when they do find her or she's zombie lunch by now.

They tease the doll in next weeks trailer, which doesn't mean shit per se, but clearly the Sophia thread is not lost.

I actually thought last night moved a little slow. I'm a fan of character development but I'm finding I just don't give a fuck about half these people I guess. I think the one episode equals one day thing they are doing this season makes it drag a touch.

I'm backing the Daryl is the shit comments. 100%
