  1. It's just an assortment of GF stuff. Things like as if by ghosts and oh ramona as well as new versions of peregrine and pipe dreams and then just straight up represses. Most of the represses have new packaging though as they had the old GF addy.
  2. Well I guess technically they're limited to 1000, but the whole point is to attempt to get into a flow where nothing ever goes out of print unless we want it to for whatever reason. So there will be variants throughout the life of the albums but I'm desperately trying to be a real label in the sense of consistency. Like you never have to worry about Distressor or Two Conversations or Eating Us or whatever going bye bye for any period of time. So the archival series is simply that - hence it not being a true fundraiser or anything. Just bringing attention to all these back catalogue titles. Because of current distribution and PR models, we (labels) have gotten in the habit of only looking forward and almost never behind, unless something has sudden value to it. I personally want to break away from that. What the hell did I just type?
  3. Soon! They aren't limited so don't fear. I got crazy sick for a few weeks and basically pushed this back from a 7/1 start date to an 8/1 start date. Of course, the retail copies were set to go live at the same time so basically indie retail has an exclusive right this second. That being said indie retail only has 2 out of the 15 total archival releases. Anyone gonna be at the Pitchfork festival this weekend?
  4. Welcome! We generally have some leftovers of prior RC releases that we'll offer you. For older titles that never had a RC release, I actually think a RC discount is a pretty great idea. One that I had not thought of previously for some reason. Lemme tinker.
  5. Yeah I try to remember to raise them a bit annually. One time I didn't and boy, was I fucked. If I recall a bunch of people got Schaff pieces at the same time and he said to me, "you may want to consider raising the point totals for some of these". Haha.
  6. Totally. I get it. But oddly enough I'm not trying to make loot, I'm trying to create something nifty. If I was simply trying to make loot I would definitely not continue running a label. Or I would release music that I know people would like for sure instead of simply following my heart. In fact I actually find running a label to be an uphill battle. But that's another conversation. Anywho, like I said before I'm very moody so I could go against everything I feel right now in a few hours. Thanks for the support!
  7. That's not an awful idea by any means but I definitely can't justify it yet. Working with New Fumes was in a weird way my 'gift' (so to speak) to the Record Club for being so loyal to me over the years. I just wanted to find something to spice up the subscription a bit. Perhaps you could find a friend that's into collecting who wouldn't want the releases you want and so forth? All that being said I'm constantly growing and changing so I'll never rule anything out. Just trying to do the best I can. Cheers!
  8. I know, right? That Begotten shirt is gonna be sooooo sick.
  9. Simply, I hired an accountant that told me I was a fucking idiot and clued me in to why I have such debt as a label. If I did more volume I could keep my old prices. For now, I have to be a 'normal' label. Most single LPs are now $19PPD unless the packaging is more costly.
  10. http://www.stereogum.com/1691325/whirr-mumble-stereogum-premiere/mp3s/ This new album is so fucking good.
  11. Holy crap! I completely forgot about that production. I'll hit up the guy that was making it and see where he is with it all.
  12. Don't waste your $$ on the old pressing of Peregrine. It wasn't well-done. I'm rectifying that now.
  13. Haha. I actually wasn't referring to you guys as naysayers. Just in general there's a personality type that poo poos everything. At any rate, the archival series is about putting everything that I've ever released, that I'm STILL passionate about, back in print or pressing it on vinyl for the first time. This will be a several year process. So it's common stuff and not-so-common stuff. The only thing I'm not touching are titles I didn't own in the first place (read: grave032 + grave031). I'm only using kickstarter because it's easy to lump everything together there vs an official site where things get buried as new things are released. Crossing my fingers that today is day 1 of solid foods which will bring us ever closer to the launch of this shit-bag.
  14. Details and the rollout will hit next week for sure. I'm finally getting over what I thought was going to be a life-ending illness hence the delay. There is much more to this though. Or much less if you tend to be a naysayer. Regardless, it's a big fucking deal to me. X + O
  15. Yo! Yeah, those weren't numbered. Just the original batch was back in April. The not-so-interesting story is that the original original batch was lost in the mail on its way to me back in April and then discovered in NM. I didn't get the original original batch back until a few months ago long after the original batch was sold out. Still awake? Ha!
  16. Thank you very much! I'll be spending the evening researching the new-to-me stuff. Much appreciated.
  17. Hi! This might seem like a lame post but I'd love some assistance from the board. I run a small vinyl shop in Savannah and really want to have an impressively radical hardcore / punk / emo / whatever section. I feel I have the classics down, as I'm old. Where I fail is keeping up with contemporary stuff. I actually use this board often to see what bands are being posted about and then look to see who distributes them blah blah blah. Anyone feel like typing out their favs or even, if you walked into a store who you'd like to see? I order directly from most of the medium size labels that post on here already, looking to get deeper. Thanks in advance.
