$30 does seem too high. can't you just take the package to the post office and have it weighed? that's what i did when a guy from the US bought a few records from me. it's a pain in the ass but the best way to be accurate.

that's pretty much spot on. i have no problem at all shipping stuff overseas. if the buyer is willing to pay the shipping cost then what's the problem? the process of taking the record to the post office is still the same (apart from having to fill in that little customs sticker) so it really doesn't bother me. for expensive items i insist on tracking which costs extra but i do that for domestic items anyway.

I make a point of describing how I expect a record to be packed when ordering from a seller I don't know. Doesn't work every time but it makes it less likely at least. I ordered an lp off a seller on Musicstack a while ago and he shipped it in a jiffy bag with no card reinforcements. The record arrived understandably damaged so i sent him an e-mail to let him know I wasn't happy. Amazingly, his response was that he'd shipped dozens of records that way and never had a problem. He then basically accused me of trying to rip him off! How can anyone ship an lp like that and not automatically think "shit, if i ship it like that it's bound to get damaged"? It's common fucking sense! That's why I get so mad about it. It's the most foreseeable problem and yet so easy to stop happening!

I think it sounds pretty terrible to be honest. It's very quiet and just generally very poor quality. I'm going to e-mail about it anyway.

I think Tennessee and That Much Further West were 500 each. That Much Further West was for sure as it's hand numbered. First press of the Attic Tapes lp was ltd to 100 (i think). God knows about the repress! I'd drop Sabot an e-mail about Lucero. Uncle Tupelo - I have no idea! Although Anodyne is being pressed on vinyl!
