this thread peaked when when someone made a mock-racist comment about someone's expedit color preference. why so serious people? there's plenty of time to go buy a bunch of these things. so if you're freaking out, go do that. They're actually discounted down to $35 right now, just bought a couple myself this weekend. They can stay in their boxes in my basement for that day in a few years when i'm full up on the ones I have and need another. And then a few years or whatever after that, the second one, still in the box, will be able to do the same thing. and a third, fourth, etc. all for $35 each. Or panic; definitely complain a lot but wait until they're gone (oops), and then spend $300 + shipping or something ridiculous like that on ebay after may or whatever when they're no longer in stock. that's totally an option you have also. i think the kallax looks nice and the pro-earth move is respectable. yes it's a bummer for the sake of continuity in displaying your collection but at $35 ea, there's no reason that anyone who's married to the expedit can't make sure they're set for life now while the getting is still good.

I was told all variants are clear by their label, and that there was no other variant. possibly the US is on black tho, since the mock ups for that one showed black.

I'm at the point where I'm believing every variant of this will prob be clear 180g. dirty hit records tweeted in response to that question that all pressings were the same. but who knows. I def canceled my universal uk PO to get amazon since those are both on the clear. prob get it faster from amazon too

I def love it live too. I guess what I meant is the album version had a few more surprises compared to the album versions of the other songs on that live from Berlin set. the echoed vocal line on "bout you" and the vocal melody in general (low vs high octaves) at times were different. </nerdout>

she way out doesn't really do anything for me, kinda boring musically I think and the vocals just stay in a box throughout. but besides that song and money, this album is so so killer. heart out/settle down/robbers is such a sick part of the record. also compared to the live version from Berlin, settle down on the album is a huge improvement from a production standpoint. anyway this will be on repeat for the next 2 mos. can't wait for that wax.

just canceled my universal uk order and ordered thru amazon uk instead. ordering for a friend we saved $30 between us for the same variant and likely faster shipping. no clue at all why there's such a huge price diff. ridiculous.

how confident are we that the variant being sold on the band's UK site is the same one that will be available on amazon.co.uk? If it seems like they will be the same i'd rather get it faster for less coin shipped to the US and cancel my order with the band's site... I was hoping for something a bit more colorful than clear but at this point it seems like that may be it. anyone have any insider info?

the UK version has 3 new songs along with the rerecorded version of "the city". in the US though you're right - IV was just the previously released singles (except the rerecorded version of "the city") plus "Me" and "You" (also previously released songs)

FYI according to the email i got from Dirty Hit Records about this, the "coloured" 2xLP UK variant will be 180g transparent vinyl. FWIW, the email links to amazon.co.uk for the vinyl preorder. Not sure if ordering from the band's UK website will be any colour variant other than the clear, or what.

I back this. there are a few live recordings of new stuff on this kid's soundcloud I found and they're all catchy as fuck.

it would rule if this board had a "PO is live" notification feature. my email is flooded with every post from today. oof.
