i am guessing it's because uno and dos undersold what i'd imagine was HT's expectations for those releases. although it does appear uno on pink finally sold out, unless the search is just hiding it for some reason

my buddy's brother won the nimrod contest (kickflipped into a half pipe, shattering his ankle) so we all got to meet them backstage after the show. seriously was blown away how nice bj and mike were to the fans (tre was not not nice, but he was a weirdo haha). they all signed tons of shit for my teenage self, some of which i still have. I couldn't have possibly had a better experience, it's probably a lot of why i always have and continue to love the band. no point, just a fun story about a teenage dream come true for a gd fan. all these represses are bringing up a lot of nostalgia, it's been awesome reliving a lot of that shit!

there's definitely several instances on this trilogy of songs where they're blatantly ripping themselves off from other songs, not just other songs within the trilogy either. the prechorus of carpe diem will forever sound like the chorus on that b-side "suffocate" to me... because it's literally the same damn thing. and that's just one example, albeit one of the worst... that said, there's a lot of growth here for them in these 3 albums, and i'll always love green day, so i look past it.

PS whoever said Tre was the worst of the 3 new ones had shit in their ears. It is easily the best of the 3 on several levels.

today's sale convinced me it was worth it. i was on the edge for $22, but now i wish i had picked up dookie on green, and i will watch out for nimrod on yellow (i mean i'm assuming here but i think we all know it's in the works). speaking of... if anyone have a copy of HT's dookie on green they wanna sell or trade, shoot me a PM. I'm bummed i missed it, from a collection standpoint. it's probably even in some stores.
