Maybe one of the less rare variants with a slip cover or something?
Maybe something like this. I tend to think that bands do a pretty good job at encouraging people to come out to the live shows, as we know the band does better monetarily from ticket and merch sales than from album sales alone. May seem gimmicky, but will help to motivate some that would not go to the live shows otherwise.

Considering this is a 10,000 unit pressing, you dont think its safe to say they have a unique variant for tours/possible record release show?
I would think the chances are at least > 0%.
I was thinking along these lines. I figure at the very least they will have this on tour. The worst: it may not be my choice of variant. But, it seems like there could be some possibility of picking up something unique. Just my two cents.

What are the chances of having a tour press of this record? Or more likely they will just take whatever is available with them out on tour?

Update: Amazon Canada has this for CAD $76.98 with free shipping, which converts to only $70 US. This is a STEAL.
How do you get free shipping to the US? Still a huge savings, but because of the international shipping to the US, standard shipping was $9.99 Canadian. Didn't know if I was missing something to get free shipping. Thanks!

I've been thinking about this for several weeks myself. My first name starts with a "K" and I still haven't heard anything. That being said, I've never come close to having any kind of issue with Third Man and their customer service. It has always been top notch.

Looking for the red w/ black splatter, or a plain black 12". I had ordered the red w/ black splatter from merchnow and a week later got the email it was out of stock and should not have been up for sale. I was refunded but it was kind of a drag
A plain black copy should be pretty easy to find at just about any record store in the country right now. Amazon has it for $20.98 and free shipping with Prime if that is your thing. I'm sure the Amazon copies are black.

Hey everyone, new to the boards!
Sorry to dig up such an old thread, but I'm seeing Dave on Sunday in Philly and haven't picked up a copy of Devour yet. I'm wondering if anyone has seen him on this tour and remembers what variants he had and what prices are like at the merch table. The cream and the brown are still on his webstore, but I'm holding out hope I can get one cheaper without having to pay shipping/possibly getting one signed.
Thanks!
I saw him a few weeks ago in Salt Lake City. If I remember right, Devour was $20 or $25. I already had a copy, so I didn't inquire about variants available. But, I did get my copy signed after the show. Hope this helps.

yeah it was on sale as 25 from 30 and I+L was down to 10 from 15. Great deal seeing how its 4 discs as well. I mean daaamn, most double LPs cost this nowadays
This is only 2 discs, not 4. The pic shows all 4 sides I guess, including the etched side.

did they have anything funny/weird/promotional? example: bayside for some reason had cult coffee bags made.
Nope. They had lots of different t-shirts (including one with tour dates, pretty rare anymore) and sweatshirts. On the table they had the 2 previously mentioned records (maybe CDs of these albums?) some stickers, buttons, and a tour poster. I think that's it.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm half wondering/betting they brought black on tour. Every bundle with a black LP on merchnow appears to be "sold-out" but I really doubt they ran out of black. Anyway, for $20, I think I'll take that chance when I see them in a couple weeks. Really do want the red w/ black splatter and flicker, fade 7" though.
By chance, did they have the pint glasses on tour? hah
Don't remember seeing any of the pint glasses.

Anyone know what the merch table is like on tour?
Saw them last night in Salt Lake City. In terms of vinyl, they had "Happiness Is" and the 10 year anniversary of TAYF acoustic album. $20 each. Didn't inquire about color, but there wasn't anything noted at the table that they were a special tour pressing. Lots of shirts and sweatshirts.

Thank you for your responses.

Are Alligator and The Boxer the colored versions? I don't see it mentioned on either page anything about them being colored versions.

Green Day "Warning" on green vinyl in 2001.

If there is Stripes singles it'll be the Elephant single reissues
They are already doing these singles with the limited variants as this quarter's Vault package, so I highly doubt that this would be the case.

the band isnt selling the "raider nation" tour pressing still are they? i am seeing them with btbam here in reno and would be pumped to pick that up.
I asked the guy who was doing merch at the show in SLC which variant they were selling. He said the copies they had were the pink/yellow with the raider nation copies "randomly mixed in". I don't know if this helps.

I got shipping confirmation earlier today for a few things I ordered from Graveface, including a few of the charity series singles.
-
Has anyone who ordered a bundle got shipping info yet?
I ordered just the record and have not gotten shipping confirmation/tracking number yet.

Loser editions are now sold out at Sub Pop.

Doubtful. We're only going to have a handful of leftover a backup in case of postal destruction during delivery.
Thank you for the response.

We've started the process of shipping everything out, but it's going to take a little time due to the volume of orders. Thankfully we got the records a few weeks before the release date so hopefully everything should be out by then.
Any chance of more blue copies going up in the store after all of the current orders have been shipped out? Overages, etc.? Thanks in advance.

There's no false advertising with the Third Man Vault. The deadlines for specific vault packages are plastered on every step of the sign up.
