This doesn't apply to you because you use birth control, but if a chick who doesn't use birth control sleeps with a guy who doesn't wear rubber, pulling out doesn't "prevent" shit and pulling out is no back up. There's lots of "stuff" that gets released even before the peak, which is why chicks (with no birth control) can still easily get pregnant even when the guy pulls out. Basically if you are not on birth control and the guy doesn't wear a condom ANY TIME during sex, take the morning after pill within 72 hours or EXPECT to get knocked up, even if he pulls out, because it is NOT a fail proof method whatsoever. But as you stated you are responsible, and as you said you do, using birth control correctly, according to Dr. Drew (board certified physician) oral contraceptive has a 99.99% success rate. It will always work, and it's all the back up you need. I did the same as a poster above, was with a chick for years and I never wore anything, she was on birth control and we never even had a scare. Which is why there is no such thing as an "accident" pregnancy anymore, as it is literally 99.99% preventive if one is responsible enough to simply take the pills as prescribed. Although IMO pulling out kills it, I can understand being a chick not wanting...all that...up in it. Always turns me on though when I'm gonna pull out and the chick says not to haha.

If you write to them about an idea for the show, they might do it! This really is a great show. One of my favorites was they dedicated an episode to the making of a Lamborghini Aventador. That shit has a hand made ALL carbon fiber body and has a ridiculous number of coats of paint that takes days of work and inspection to pass. It really was quite amazing seeing them put that thing together and all the meticulous testing that it goes through.

The thing is I don't mind if people wanna pull out their phone and take "a couple pictures" of the band members or the set or whatever. I mean, I understand, even I do that when I get up close. When I flip through my pictures later I'm glad I did, it makes it easy to remember the shows I went to and where I saw them. But to have the thing out to "record songs via video" that are going to sound like shit anyway while they hold the camera in the way of my view for 20 minutes straight, I mean that's just stupid and unnecessary. I was seriously tempted a few times to quickly grab the phone out of their hand and throw it further into the pit LOL. Their face would have been priceless. Also, in reference to the crowd singing, the last couple Thrice shows I went to after they announced their "farewell" the crowds were amazing. There were times where it felt like the entire crowd was singing along and it was awesome. People knew when parts were coming up in the songs, it really felt like we were one with the band on stage. That kind of stuff I love at shows.

Sorry to hear that. Just being myself thank you very much. Not really. But if one night we're sitting around drinking beers and telling stories about chicks we banged and how nuts they were in the sack, sure I've brought up some of the more crazy stuff that has happened. You know what, the last Blink concert I went to a couple weeks ago was unfortunately like that too. Lots of phones in the way, and not a lot of people singing along, almost no moshing, and people were getting pissed at crowd surfers and people pushing to get closer. Didn't make any sense to me, as almost every big show I've gone to and been in the pit, pushing and crowd surfing was standard. The show itself was great, but it probably had one of the more pussified crowds I've seen at a concert in a while. It would be too bad if the show for Brand New was the same way. Someone commented another time about people singing in the crowd ruining the Brand New show they went to, but I actually kinda like that stuff. Much more than a bunch of hipsters just holding up their phones the whole time. It means the people are actually fans and know the songs and aren't just showing up because they heard it was a popular sold out show.

Its the strangest thing. I bring this band up to friends I haven't seen in a while (because friends I see all the time know about this band because I talk about them) and fish around random coworkers who have separate lives from me socially just to see if there's any bites. I bring up the ridiculous record prices or the upcoming shows and their $400 price tags and to them they don't know Brand New and to them it doesn't make any sense. So only one or two out of dozens & dozens have faint recognition of the band. Mostly people have no clue who they are. Which to me means: (1) There is an almost cult like following, or (2) The people that make a living off of flipping stuff really have a stranglehold on this band and its merch. I am going to guess the show is gonna be great. But the Brand New superfans who spend the ridiculous amounts to go to the show are going to be even more fun to interact with in the pit. I never would have guessed this shows potential. Crazy fuckin' rock shows mang. Too bad you can't find out about this shit in that pussy Rolling Stone poseur mag!

Holy shit. Just typed in "Brand New Observatory" and there are around 70-80 posts of people that have postings listed as "Wanted- By Owner" meaning these are people just posting to try to find and get someone to sell them tickets. Some offering $300. Crazy. Don't get me wrong, I love the band. But is all this hype really warranted?

I can't believe what tickets are selling for. How can people really be willing to pay that much? $400 on StubHub. Are professional ticket buyers just taking advantage? Shows probably gonna be crazy. Brand New is such an enigma. Never hear anyone talk about them in public, don't even hear their songs on the radio, but its like they have superfans when it comes to records and shows. Really blows my mind.
