I as well as other members have ordered online before and received LPs from Hot Topic beaten up, bent, or in poor condition. It would be nice to go to the store and see that they are in good condition before I pay and that way don't have to deal with returns/waiting time/etc.. just like to know what I get before I pay.

Any idea what variant this is? Just plain black maybe? I only want to buy 1 copy of this and don't really know my options.

I kinda don't know what to do about getting this in store. One store I called said they already put it out and it's gone, other stores say they can't release it until a certain day, which means to me that almost certainly I'm going to get screwed out of being able to purchase one in store if the one I receive in the mail is damaged. Tried messaging Travis about emailing the store, but haven't had a response. Has anyone else had luck getting their hands on this in store or has it just been luck of the draw?

Finally got my turntable out of storage a couple weeks ago and got around to spinning the new Mellon Collie release... ...was crossing my fingers but unfortunately Zero sounds terrible at about the half way point. It's not the only one either, there are other songs where either the mixing is bad or the format was just way too compressed, can't tell. A shame too, the packaging of the album is top notch. I've also noticed my SIamese CD remaster is not as good as the original, IMO. Way more bassy or something, the clarity seems to be lacking. It's great all this SP music is becoming available on wax again, but I'm not so sure all these reissues are up to par with original releases.

And you call them steamed hams besides the fact that they are obviously grilled.

Lol IMO that is not a cover, that is a copy This is a crappy unpopular band jumping on the back of a popular bands song playing it note for note hoping to gain some public exposure along the way. Except in this case it doesn’t work because their version is much, much crappier. Why would I listen to this crappy version when I could just as well listen to the much better original version? IMO a great example of a quality “cover” is The Atari’s Boys of Summer, who don’t just “copy” the song and actually make their own stylized new sounding version. Smooth Criminal by AAF is another good example. The songs sound redone, covered. And it’s because people actually PREFER their new style of the song over the originals, that’s why The Atari and Alien Ant Farm versions got so much airtime. This is just a crappy band trying to hope they get face time by playing a popular Brand New song and putting their name on it.
