  1. If they could sell the same number of records at $300 they would be stupid not to charge that much. And people would be stupid for paying. It appears that no matter the position, people are going to complain.
  2. Been trying to see how high people are flipping them for its odd there are no tickets on StubHub.
  3. Yeah! You'll still be able to play it! But it will sound like shit. How can you not know how records wor...nevermind Have them sign the label if you really want them to "physically" sign the record. Think paint pens. Gotta upvote great references.
  4. Both my clear and red came in great shape, but I don't blame anyone for being pissed if they received theirs damaged. I actually have good luck with records shipping considering all the times I read and hear about stuff being damaged. I have had the same mailman for years now so wonder if that has anything to do with it?
  5. Got 2 tix for 1st night at the Observatory in CA. It wasn't easy.
  6. Seriously. What the fuck is it about this board and telling people what to do with their own records?
  7. That video is cringe-worthy, and IMO makes it pretty obvious that this is bullshit. She also says "like" way too much and it's fucking annoying.
  8. That's the only place I've been able to find tickets that will be for sale. I think Ticketmaster redirected me to that site when I was looking for them earlier.
  9. I know some people have posted pictures of their ripped sleeves and covers, but mine came in great condition and I couldn't be happier to finally have a copy of this. I could never get myself to pay the ridiculous eBay prices, so essentially I've been waiting for years. If you like the album, I would say even if the damaged sleeves and sticker bug you, this is a great opportunity to get a hold of a brand new (no pun intended) pressing, no matter the variant. As others have mentioned the sound quality is great, and I can say it is a beautiful thing to finally listen to Jesus on my turntable.
  10. Staying on mine too. If I want to hang a picture of the record cover on the wall I'll print out a 12x12 and call it a day. I'm not. And to me the sexy aesthetic value is not gone because of a fuggin' sticker, no matter how much some of you may say it is. I don't have a single thing to bitch about with this release. I've been waiting, and I finally have it, and it looks and sounds great. The fact that some people on here feel they have to bitch to the point that they're actually having members ask about and consider not buying this release is absurd.
  11. It sucks because honestly I was most looking forward to hearing Zero on wax. No effin' joke. I love the Pumpkins and know of all their other material, but this is really one of my more favorite heavy and quick songs that they have. Just an amazing song. And I was so close to being able to hear it on vinyl without paying $200+. If it was in almost any other order on the album it probably would have been fine. Just effing blows that the biggest flaw in the product is what you actually bought the product for.
  12. This is the way I look at it. The sticker doesn't bug me at all. Of course, I don't FRAME my fuggin' records. If you're bitching about the "art" there's plenty of hi-res photos online of the cover that you can print and hang up on your walls. With the way people were reacting around here you'd think the sticker destroyed the ability to put the wax on the turntable and hear it play. Sheesh. After reading most of this thread, there's 2 things I've learned this board loses their shit over: stickers on the front of album covers, and irrelevent grammatical errors.
  13. Funny you say that, being an asshole is like a magnet to some chicks! "UGH! I HAAAATE YOU!!!" can sometimes mean you're in. Ever heard the term nice guys finish last? You gotta adapt! lol The title is Man Advice, and that's what I was originally giving to a guy who said he was sick of sausage fests and would like to have a female around occasionally. This is real world experience from a man who gets what he wants from chicks. Look, if you want advice on how to pick up on chicks from women, go right ahead and listen to their bullshit and see how it works. Trust me, I tried that route when I was younger, and its a giant waste of time. I occasionally come across chicks (mostly overweight unnattractive ones that I would never be interested in) who get pissed and all pussy hurt when they hear what I'm saying, and it's mostly because they know what I'm saying works and they don't like hearing it. According to some of the (almost immediate) responses that's pretty much whats happened here. But it doesn't make anything I said less relevent.
  14. Understood, but that doesn't make the term "skidmark variant" any less hilarious.
  15. I think I am most looking forward to spinning "Not Now" on the Greatest Hits, no doubt one of my favorite Blink songs ever. Tom's lyrics and vocals were just so pop-punk and perfect, and it's unfortunate that after A&A he's refused to sing like that anymore.
  16. Who the fuck said anything about knowing what they want? Hell, they don't even know what they want! They say one thing, do another. I'm talking about how to hit on them and pick them up. How to get them to go out with you, how to get them back to your place. And nobody knows better how to do that than guys who pick up women. Period.
  17. I guess when considering how many records I've boughten that physically had a sticker placed on the front of the cover, I couldn't think of one, so this to me is rather unique. They're always sealed in celaphane and the covers are just the printed artwork. I also thought for some reason when I originally bought the CD back when that it had the sticker on the artwork as well, but maybe I'm just confused as it must have just been on the celaphane.
  18. As a male, I wouldn't take advice from a female who has no experience in picking up women.
  19. Checked both LPs of my clear, and unless I didn't look close enough, I did not see that skidmark color on mine. Dammit! Also, is there a reason you guys hate the white sticker on the front of the cover? I guess it is a tad annoying, though it didn't really bug me at first cause I thought it was a nice detail, but I guess that's just me? Cause now I'm wondering if I should get it the hell off too.
  20. I actually saw Brand New before, they were on tour with Thrice and played at the Soma in San Diego. I couldn't tell if it was normally the way they played, but the sound from the band and the set of songs they played was just not that good. I actually was very glad I got the opportunity to see them, but the show was dissapointing to say the least. However it's been probably 6-7 years since, so I am willing to give them a second try.
  21. Going out smiling and looking clean clut, with clean clothes, and smelling nice IMO should be standard if you're going up to girls to introduce yourself. Chicks that are single and looking generally don't just look at guys like that for no reason. It sounds like you may need to make yourself more interesting personality wise, and less creepy looks wise. And that's not a knock on you, I'm just being candid. Do you believe that to be true of yourself as well? Disregard women, think about when you first meet people, you can't always be "yourself" off the bat. I think we all know this. So you kinda gotta not say everything that pops off in your head, you kinda keep your guard up, and slowly as you get to know them, you let your guard down showing your different sides as you become more familiar with eachother. But going all in off the bat can be a little strange, a little offsetting. And this is especially applicable for women. They like a little mystery. You can't always be upfront and yourself off the bat. Also, it's okay to push your honesty about stuff you normally wouldn't even care about. For example, I don't give a shit about Miley Cyrus or Katy Perry, but if me discussing them is going to open a 10 minute conversation with this chick I'm into about "dressing like a slut" I could care less what the hell we're talking about! I'll bring stuff up that is INTERESTING TO THEM because that's what they like talking about, and girls like talking about stuff they're interested in. And as long as they're paying attention to me, the better chances I have that they will want to spend time with me in the future. The less awkward it is when I get around to asking to see them again. In the beginning stages of trying to get this girl to be into me, I could give a shit less about the subjects she wants to talk about. Because my main goal is to make her comfortable with being around me, and once that happens, all the other things like asking her out to dinner, making a move, or getting her back to my apartment will naturally fall into place.
  22. Will be going to this, hoping for YFW and Deja, but how can you complain about TDAG and Daisy? Does anybody think they're going to be playing them in consecutive order based on the dates? First night first two albums, second night the third and fourth?
  23. Nice! Thanks for the heads up! Doesn't look like I'll be purchasing anything but it is still nice to know when stuff like this becomes available. Also can't believe they used to sell that Angels & Airwaves for $50, seems they can't even give them away anymore.
