  1. confession! i recently started listening to Underoath (again.) i did back around 2002 when I was in college and a bit before - but fell off that wagon. to the underoath fans... i missed the bus on this one.
  2. I'll get Travis' post out of the way now: Guys - these are not sold out. Inventory is showing plenty. And if it does sell out, there will be another press. Do not go to eBay.
  3. okay chicago peeps... true question about the real winers here... wiener circle or wienermobile? chocolate shake or a wiener that you can drive...?
  4. i've scratched 100s of times on two accounts. no jackpot.
  5. that's awesome. where at? looks like madison and adams.
  6. atlas is so beast. i love it. seeing them in april - very excited. love me some wall of death.
  7. sumbitch! for me... it'd have to me being content with seeing her once a month for a while if i was lucky. the trust would be there. but there is just more to it, i feel. but what that more is, i don't know. never been in that boat. my last long distance relationship was 95 miles - and that was after i graduated and she was still at school. that did work out well, but the distance was nothing. advice will be taken from any - male and female (hence the title of thread).. if anybody wants to contribute, i am definitely listening/reading. something tells me madie can chime in!
  8. definitely not wrecking my shit... i've thought about it. i realize that the move is happening. i have been pushing this move for quite some time and finally my time is here. this is going to sound shitty as there is no tone in posts, but my career is coming first. i understand jobs come and go, but this is a good one. i say this as genuine as possible - not like a prick.. I AM SELFISH. I AM FIRST. my question is more of the long distance thing. does it work? with not a ton to base it of off - 2 months of sleeping together?! j/k... but a nice history and a genuine care for each other. we each don't have time to meet tons of new people and do all that. i've been single for 3 years or so - having fun in the meantime - but did not want to lock it down as i was busy with work and finished the master's degree.. and knew geographic change might be on the horizon. I could live without her (sounds bad) as an item/girlfriend but having her as such would be nice. i feel she would feel the same. she's been really cool with what i'm doing and extremely supportive. my future would be career oriented and more than likely going for my doctorate at UF. one would think... jeez dude, just answer these questions yourself - you can figure it out... but i've thought about it. i don't want to commit and get my heart torn and vice versa. need to respect her as well. i can ask her - i know this. but... i know these long distance things work - but so many risks, yet huge rewards. bad thing is - her work would never put her in FL. p.s. future record sale because i'll be condensing from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom townhome/apt. get your attention now? haha. that will come later though.
  9. here's a good one. i'll keep it short as possible. i am 31. successful. (using loosely - not rich $$$, but have a good career, ability to move around). i travel a few times a year domestically, usually for 3-4 weeks and back home. live and based in chicago area. she is 30. chicago. successful (career oriented). i feel better career than mine - travels globally - once a quarter for 2-3 weeks - typically to Europe and China. her and i have known each other since our college days - going on 9-10 years. hung out in college.. and we started talking more in July 2012... now "seeing" each other and doing adult couple things - started REALLY talking in december. stayed at her house overnight for the first time in January. i have received a conditional offer for a career move to orlando (1,200 miles away) pending background check (employment, credit, criminal, driving, etc). it's going to pass - then i'll have the formal offer/acceptance. we already talked salary, time frame, etc. i have not told her that i have this conditional offer (received last friday) as she has been in Hong Kong and Beijing for work and want that to be the least of her worries while on business - but coming back tomorrow. of course I am going to tell her about the offer. she knows i had interviewed down there. what the heck do i do? the move is coming... it's inevitable. i am taking the formal offer when it is offered. she's a good gal and we get along well. future potential. would love some guy and gal perspective and thought on this. try and work on this or since it's really only a few months old, not worth it? worth it for her? me? known her for 10ish years, so that helps. i'm sure others here have dealt with a big move.
  10. this isn't getting the response that i expected. nobody like the heavy shit?
  11. Similar, but EDC is a much bigger production, bigger acts, a lot of things going on. Not sure what you'd be looking for. If overall ambience and experience, EDC by a landslide. If you're looking to stay in Chicago and don't mind it ends at 10-11pm, whereas EDC goes til 4am - then Spring Awakening is where it's at. The EDC lineup is monsterous - many will agree that it's the best Chicago has ever seen for electronic music. (Using electronic to avoid the house / techno / trance great debate) Post-event vid is nice... Youtube will have the
  12. regardless, that will be awesome. IU has a good shot - as does 8 other times. wide open this year...will be enjoyable. plus, ATL is a fun city with all that doing on. get away from this garbage IL weather.
  13. who is going to electric daisy carnival in May? i am, as electric music trumps almost everything for me.
  14. going to Dayton for that first weekend! we always go somewhere for the (usually first) weekend.. we are trying to arrange going to the first four as well. have fun at final four. we did that in 2010 when it was Butler / Duke... best $$$ ever spent.
  15. to think that Wyoming was one of the last two or three undefeateds (and did beat San Diego State when ranked).. thanks for shitting the bed Cowboys!
  16. eat a balanced 1,500 calorie diet, cardio for 1 hour x 4 days a week... 8-10 pounds loss in a month, safely. good food well help, being active and doing some good cardio will only enhance those results.
  17. Yeah... Agreed... are they 40% body fat? those are definitely important factors. good thing to point out!
