I'm new here and I think this is a great board. From what I've seen the majority of people are super cool here and not elitist jerks to new people that show up and perhaps say/ask newbie type things. So let's eat those waffles and continue being cool.

I know its not an actual backpack, but they are built to last. http://www.timbuk2.com make awesome messenger bags. That are designed originally for messengers so size and durability are very good. Plus you build can your own custom bag if you want. my girlfriend and I have both had ours for years and they still going strong. -edit; apparently they have normal backpacks now too.
