  1. Sick. This was one of the first doom bands I heard. Will buy for sure.
  2. I just saw that Grim Reaper one at a store. How is it?
  3. ...The tenth anniversary shows that is. I missed out because I live too far away. Did anyone go? How was it? I'd really like to see some videos and pictures if anyone took any.
  4. The deluxe packaging is some seriously heavy chipboard. I'd take pictures, but I don't have time right now. Gatefold, printed inner sleeves, lyric sheet, hefty vinyl...it's a good presentation. Instead of the 7", they gave a free cd and a guitar tab for one of the tracks, Divinations I think, was included. I would have rather gotten the 7".
  5. I got the deluxe in the mail the other day and it didn't have the 7". Apparently Insound didn't get them or something. Kinda pissed I payed so much for a double lp now. I would have just settled for the single. Oh well, them's the breaks.
  6. I like weird things like that that bands put out. I wouldn't pay outrageous amounts for it, but I think it's neat.
  7. Some folks have neat stuff. A lot of things I've never heard of before.
  8. This one is bad. But you should get the Loved Ones s/t 10" that's good! That one was free with a No Idea order. I like free.
  9. I've been kind of obsessed with this particular size of record lately. I love that the price is usually less than a regular LP, I love the length of their play time, and for some reason they are simply wicked awesome. So I thought I'd make a thread about 10" records. I'm looking around for ones to eventually purchase. Here's what I own: ...Who Calls So Loud - ...Who Calls So Loud 2x10 Avail - Live at the King's Head Inn Gaslight Anthem, The - Live at Park Ave Genghis Tron - Cload of Love Mount Eerie - Black Wooden Ceiling Opening Mount Eerie - Mount Eerie Pts. 6&7 My Morning Jacket - Celebracion De La Ciudad Natal 2x10 Om/Current 93 - Inerrant Rays of Infallible Sun (Blackship Shrinebuilder) Paul Baribeau - Grand Ledge Queens of the Stoneage - Era Vulgaris 3x10" (Incoming) Radiohead - Amnesiac 2x10 Radiohead - Kid A 2x10 Small Brown Bike/The Casket Lottery - Riding With Death Torche - In Return So what else is there? I know I've seen many in my travels, but I'm hoping to find some I've never heard of. Post your 10" records here, give some links, what's coming out?
  10. Under The Influence Vol. 8 w/ Austin Lucas Just bought that Campfire Punkrock. Can't wait for it.
  11. I got mine last week. Black. The little track list cards are not as fancy as they sound. They're actually kind of lame and annoying. But I'm not going to complain, this set rules.
  12. Very cool. My girlfriend loves this set, and we both love records. I think this will be bought in the near future. Maybe someone besides insound will get it?
  13. My girlfriend is a big fan of everything Wilco. I really dig Sky Blue Sky, myself. It's a great just-woke-up-got-my-first-cup-of-coffee kind of album. I know she'll want these.
  14. This is great. I've heard Can's Tago Mago before, I like the funky parts in that. I found a video of German Oak that's pretty rocking. Thanks for the help.
  15. My band's guitarist has been pretty influenced by krautrock lately, but I haven't heard much of it. Or maybe I have but I'm just not aware of it. I've heard the term applied to bands like Tarentel, The Alps, The Drift, and of course Popul Vuh, but I think I've only barely scratched the surface. I was hoping maybe some of you folks could help point me toward some good krautrock-style releases, maybe a seminal release? Thanks!
  16. I somehow managed to get one of these even though I can barely afford it right now. It's an awesome looking set. And the price is pretty decent for all you get with that. PS. The shirt is designed by Seldon Hunt. That was a neat surprise.
