  1. Couldn't agree more with this. Fake History was awesome, and this one will be no different.
  2. I think the rest of the album will have more heavy drums from what they've played live and such. Don't Blink and Boomerang both had good lyrics and instrumentation, I felt at least. "That's My Jam" isn't actually part of the album, they said it was just a fun song they made in the studio, so don't let it change your view of the rest of the album. Lost Boy on the other hand... I have no defense for it. It did sound like a generic song especially with the "ey ey ey eys." I'm really hoping that's a one off song, and there aren't others like it.
  3. I ordered my boxset on Thursday, and it came today. I really like everything in it, but it does feel a tad expensive. But it still feels good to have it and not have to worry about finding one after they sell out and having to pay an even higher price. The thing that really made me want the boxset was the gatefold jacket; I probably would've have just gone with the HT version if it was gatefold. And this also completes my Paramore collection again (meaning having all albums, not all the variants/singles).
  4. Basically this. I know that there are cheaper options, but I really like Apple's computers and OS, so I sprang for something a little more expensive but I knew I would enjoy it more than if I went with a Windows computer.
  5. Finally ordered it this morning. For the MacBook, the 8GB of memory, and a 1TB hard drive, it cost me $1,276.05. I can't wait for it to get here so I can get rid of this computer I have now.
  6. Just posted on their Facebook: "We have listened and it is good. Collapsible Lung vinyl mastering and test pressings are a success. Pre-orders will be up soon!"
  7. I can almost guarantee I would never use all 16. On my computer right now I only have 2GB and it's starting to become really bad where it takes a good while just to pull up a Word document. And since 4GB is only two more, I was planning to go with 8GB just to be on the safe side.
  8. Thanks for these links, it seemed crucial.com had cheaper prices so from there I could upgrade the memory to 16GB (May go with 8GB, not sure I'd ever use 16), and then could upgrade my harddrive to 1TB and the entire thing cost ~$1325
  9. According to this both versions of the OS are installed, and the 64 bit version boots by default, but you can start it in 32 bit if need be.
  10. I'm not sure if it's 32 or 64. But I'll definitely look into that now that you've mentioned it.
  11. Hey so I'm planning on buying a new MacBook Pro (probably this http://www.amazon.com/Apple-MacBook-MD101LL-13-3-Inch-VERSION/dp/B0074703CM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1369186411&sr=8-1&keywords=macbook+pro ) for school this fall, and I had a question. Let's say I wanted to upgrade the memory from 4GB to 8GB. I really don't want to pay Apple's price for it, so I was planning on just buying the memory separately and putting it in myself. My question is do I need just one 4GB stick since it already has 4GB? Or do I have to replace the one already in there since I'm putting in more and get two 4GB sticks?
  12. Grabbed one and it should have one more download left
  13. Tried the Say Anything and Touche Amore, someone already used both
  14. And if anyone didn't hear Nashville's show got moved from this Friday to July 2
  15. I really liked Boomerang, and Collapsible Lung was alright, and Don't Blink was somewhere in the middle of those two for me
  16. Ok so I'm pretty sure this is the order, there may be one or two that are swapped that shouldn't be, but these are all the songs they played: Who I Am Hates Who I've Been High of 75 Mood Rings In Love With the 80's Candelight Sahara The Lining is Silver Boomerang (New Song) 17 Magazine (Acoustic) The Best Thing (Acoustic) The One I'm Waiting For (Acoustic) Forget and Not Slow Down Savannah Pressing On Sadie Hawkins Dance Collapsible Lung (New Song) Encore: Don't Blink Which to Bury, Us or the Hatchet? Be My Escape
  17. So to my knowledge nothing new and shiny was there. There was a t shirt that was /100 that had zombies on it, but they only had smalls. They played a fairly long set... I'll put the setlist up when I get home
  18. Don't know if anyone's going, but this is their show lineup. "There may be something shiny and new at the merch table to buy at each tour date!" Don't know what it is, but I'll be there on the 24th and I'll check 4/24 – Birmingham, AL @ Zydeco 4/25 – Atlanta, GA @ The Masquerade 4/26 – Orlando, FL @ Beacham Theater 4/27 – St. Petersburg, FL @ The State Theatre 4/28 – Ft. 19. I believe that John and Jon are just taking a break from touring, however Ethan is no longer with them. And I think the push backs have already been there with them doing it on their own label and such.
  20. Sorry I couldn't look at all the pages. I knew about the shootout but didn't know about the explosions
  21. Someone told me at school that there was explosions near MIT or the house they thought they had the suspect held up in? Can anyone confirm that?
  22. So I've had time to listen to this a couple times, and I would probably give it 3 out of 5 stars. My favorite songs are: The Phoenix, The Mighty Fall, Death Valley, and Rat A Tat. The rest aren't bad, but they're not my cup of tea. I did like how in Save Rock And Roll, they payed tribute to Chicago Is So Two Years Ago with the "until your breathing stops, forever", but it kept me waiting for another What A Catch, Donnie, but that didn't happen. This won't be my go to Fall Out Boy album, but it's not the worst album ever. Take This To Your Grave will always have a special place in my heart, and will be what I think of as Fall Out Boy. But anyway, yes Save Rock And Roll is definitely a big step from Folie a Deux. If someone new listens to this album and starts liking FOB, that's awesome; maybe they'll listen to their back catalog and realize how great of a (pop punk/emo/rock/whatever you want to say) band they were.
  23. It's the University of North Alabama and I'm really thinking I want to go into the Entertainment Industry (The Business Side). Since it's still a fairly new program, I'll have some time to minor and was thinking of double minoring in Business and Marketing.
  24. Going to a university today for a campus visit. I'll more than likely be starting there this fall. I've already been accepted and am on a partial scholarship because of my ACT. Any questions I should be sure to ask? I've got normal stuff such as if there's any grants I qualify for (already sent in the FAFSA), living accommodations, meal plans, and all that jazz. But is there anything else you all could think of that would be good to ask?
