we're actually meeting up tonight to pack all the orders. best-case scenario is that they start being shipped tomorrow and they're done by the end of the week. worst-case is that they're all in the mail before we leave for Riot Fest on the 12th. so, all flexis will ship within 10 days from today at the WORST and very likely before that.

the band has specific copies just for tour. the stuff that's almost sold out is our webstore allotment.

Thomas_Nassiff got a reaction from NorrisNuts in PO next week: PARK's first new release in 8 years, Jacob The Rabbit 10"
We ordered enough to keep 'em in stock for a while. It won't be an issue for us, we have office space!
Makes no sense to me because not only is he a great partner and one of my best friends, but regardless of what you think of his website it's pretty undeniable that he is a hard worker / smart guy.

nope they won't. like i said, a big reason for that is the cool stuff like the B-side screen and the 16-page booklet. as a full package we hoped that people would be into it.
also, for what it's worth, our shipping is being lowered starting this week from $5 to $4.50...I'm really happy about that.

that's a fair point – it can definitely be tricky because the licensor usually doesn't run these sort of things past the band (or anyone else who expressed interest in the license at hand). i didn't mean for it to sound like i was saying anything negative about the label but i see how it could have come across that way accidentally. my apologies to ross for that.

i didn't mean for it to come off unprofessional or any way other than that i'd rather buy it from the band. i would think that regardless of whether i had my own label or not.
a bad timing release went through a situation similar to what i can imagine this one is. we had made lacquers and gotten art prepared for a release and then found out the band wanted to do it themselves. we ate about $700 and didn't do it.

small labels like enjoy the ride can sell records to hot topic at a wholesale price. in that case, hot topic wouldn't be in discussions with the original rights-owner (Sony Music in this situation) for that purchase; they'd just talk directly to enjoy the ride. sometimes the small label will partner with a distro (BTR uses no idea).
