Our goal is to expose talented artists to new fans and help music enthusiasts find something they might not have known about. The name Flippin Records has a few meanings in today's music market... "This side is over, time to flip it!" "I bought this record to flip on ebay!" or "Check out this flippin awesome record!" We just want everyone to have fun with their purchase! God this thread is funny. Guy kept saying how much better the erased tapes version was going to be, it'll sound so much better, you should even get the black version on erased tapes instead of kranky, then when a cool little surprise happened and the kranky version is clear you were actually annoyed. You should be happy with your far Superior erased tapes pressing! (Except for The fact that your copy was damaged/doesn't sound great, which....is bitterly ironic). As for your sales advice I'm pretty sure this'll sell plenty no matter what.
And to the other guy complaining about kranky not cutting a deal give me a break. They put out awesome records and offer them cheap as hell with shipping included! You gotta be kidding me.

A lot of up and coming musicians including myself often wonder why they haven't made it yet. they make songs, send them to blogs, and post them up on social media but they tend to hit this glass ceiling and get stuck before they go anywhere important. i met this guy last year as a nobody who lucked out with a week on the vans warped tour and he shared some beautiful words of wisdom with me that he has been kind enough to share with the world in his latest music video. take heed, take note, listen carefully, and learn something! If only it were that simple. I think shrugging the issue off is just as bad. Discussion may not fix everything over night but it's a start and better then being like, "Fuck it, people are shitty but I'm not racist so it's not my problem."
It's like when people say "I don't care if they let gay people get married, I'm not a homophobe," not caring isn't a positive outlook on progression, coming up with ways to approach those around you who feel differently and helping them realize that they're hurting people is.
