  1. Hit the 3 horizontal bars at the top right of chrome, choose history. Clear browsing data, make sure to select "delete cookies" and "empty your cache" from the time period of, preferably, forever. Reopen chrome and install Adblock Plus.
  2. Fat just emailed about the Fat Tour 2013, these guys will be headlining along with Masked Intruder, Anti-Flag, and Get Dead. Chris DeMakes also said that the band is planning to do a massive U.S. tour following that to support the new album. Stoked!
  3. I had this and The Greatest Generation give me a code the first time around, but now TGG just shipped and I think I'll try again with Sleeping on Trash. It's still available at other retailers and I have a feeling Best Buy is somehow getting new stock from these other sources, which would explain the DCFC Plans thing as well as my TGG just shipping. Also, all of the Streetlight represses are on BB (but not the Catch-22 version of Keasbey) as well as some of the other new preorder stuff like the Rise Against B-Sides and Ocean Avenue Acoustic. That should help some of you with codes and nothing to use them on
  4. Yesterday I got a shipped notification for Plans, this morning I got a code from it. Tracking number doesn't work, no refund yet, and I have a separate order of Plans still listed as backordered. No idea what the result of this will be.
  5. How often are you all ordering? And is it just the same item over and over or do you think alternating between items has a better chance of not getting 'phantom code' emails? Also, got The Get Up Kids - There Are Rules for about $2. Shipped after 2 and a half weeks.
  6. Streetlight Manifesto is number 1 for sure, I'm off to Santa Cruz to see them tomorrow The Greatest Generation is amazing Fall Out Boy, Paramore, and Jimmy Eat World were good but at the same time I was re-exploring their earlier stuff so they pale in comparison Dropkick Murphys - Signed and Sealed in Blood should have gotten more attention, way outclasses Going Out in Style Iron Chic - Spooky Action and Andrew McMahon - The Pop Underground for EPs I'm looking forward to new Rise Against, Ocean Avenue Acoustic, Dads, and anything else I can find because I always feel behind on releases, but have been real happy with this year so far Still need to hear QOTS Biggest disappointment has been The Cat Empire - Steal the Light
  7. Of course TAYF and YFW would sound similar, Lacey played bass in TBS and John Nolan was his best friend. YFW came first as well, and you can't really call it a TAYF copy when one of the TAYF songs was written in response to Seventy Times Seven. I personally enjoy the story surrounding the albums and it makes the similarities and differences all the more interesting. No need for everyone to jump the bandwagon on either side of the genre, just listen for yourself and decide if you like it or not without telling everyone else how good it is/isn't. Relativity and shit. Can't wait to finally own Deja, I like that 10 year cover art as well as the one with the astronaut on the ground reaching towards the camera.
  8. http://www.fatwreck.com/news/detail/578 I'm excited, Cavalcade is one of my all time favorite punk releases and the way they describe the new album sounds exactly like what I'd want to hear.
  9. Streetlight Manifesto's Hands That Thieve was just added to best buy, costs $19.98 and becomes free with two promo codes. I feel like I just pirated a record, and that Tomas would be proud. If he can't get my preorder money, NOBODY CAN.
  10. Right, I guess I should rephrase that to 'they chose the band name Jimmy Eat World when:'. I forgot about the drawing, that's where the name originates but what I quoted above is why they chose it according to them. Still one of my favorite band names by far though.
  11. Reddit AMA for Jimmy Eat World http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1ft84s/we_are_jimmy_eat_world_ama/ Edit for the lazy: "We are looking into doing this. We'll keep you posted on jimmyeatworld.com" in regards to Futures getting a repress. They want to tour with Metallica and Foo Fighters. They also have a relationship with Blink 182 and played at Hoppus' wedding. They are thinking of adding "Gotta Be Somebody's Blues" to the setlist roster. They came up with the band name 'Jimmy Eat World' when: "we literally spent 5 minutes discussing our band name. got asked to play a party in high school and didn't have a name so we decided on jimmy eat world without much thought". More tour dates are still to be added for Damage, specifically for the UK.
  12. Alright, so I've said some pretty heated things on here in regards to the mess involving refunds from the RISC store, but this morning I decided to give calling another try and after the first call not going through (the number doesn't have a voicemail set up so if the line isn't open the call drops), the second call went right through. I'm pretty sure it was Dave who answered, and he very quickly and courteously refunded me. I briefly had the chance to ask what the deal was with the wait, and he just said that he's going as fast as he can. I'm not going to sugarcoat it and take back everything I said because honestly this is still being handled poorly, but Dave restored some faith I had in the fact that these dudes probably do have it rough and are at least trying. I've decided against ordering from Victory and instead just picking this up second hand or from Amazon or something, and to make it up to streetlight I'll just grab a bunch of merch at their show. For those of you on here still trying to get refunded, call (213) 742 8837 a few times today until the line is free. If you get the chance I didn't, just remind Dave that most of us are still in the dark and if he can get some kind of update out that says they're still working it'll go a long way with the fans. Hope this helps some of you.
  13. What's worse: stealing from a band on your label, or being that band and crying wolf, and then stealing your fans money? :/
  14. A month's gone by, and has anyone gotten their refund/been contacted by RISC yet? Anyone else tried calling them? When I tried, it was like they disconnected their phone.
  15. I don't think this was phantom stock, I spotted the sale in a newsletter I got from FBR. Besides, I've looked up their stock before and they didn't have this, so unless an admin is playing tricks, I think we're safe. My offer still stands for a copy of TTTYG for a copy of FUCT too, PM me!
  16. https://store.fueledbyramen.com/artists/1/store/show/8W1X2 TTTYG on coke bottle clear. I don't know if this is a new pressing or just more surfacing from the last press but either way I picked it up along with extras so I could use the freeship code ($8.50 shipping per LP otherwise); if anyone wants to trade a mint FUCT for one of my copies I'd be happy to do it, otherwise enjoy!
  17. No matter where you buy, and this would have included the RISC store, the majority of the money would go to Victory anyway right? The problem was that Victory was shorting SM the royalties they make from each sale, so the only way to guarantee those artists their money was to buy it through RISC or at shows. Which neither of these outlets will likely ever have these items anyway, and with them also withholding our preorder money and generally being just shitty at customer service, what can we do? I want streetlight to make money. But at this point I'm fed up with the RISC store and I'm probably going to look elsewhere for this record. At least I can make it up to streetlight by buying $200 worth of shit at their farewell tour. And I can also keep telling myself that with all this legal heat on Victory it probably isn't as easy for them to be hiding transaction records from SM's lawyers anyway. Probably.
  18. I've sent two emails and also filled in that refund/keep the money page and they haven't responded nor refunded in weeks. I missed out ordering from interpunk for 9.25 because I can't get this damn $45 back. This whole thing is being handled so poorly
  19. As of now they're at just over 90k, but I have a feeling we'll see another jump with all this new added information. This is such a devoted band and they're turning every penny we donate into pure gold for the fans, so spread the word or preorder a second album so we can hit the 1.1k mark! I'm also excited to see Kaboom! and their other EPs pressed as well - and I'm willing to bet any money we can raise over 1.1k will go towards voltron-upgrading those releases as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fellow Skewerer of Sky-bound Salamanders, Having been completely blown away by the blinding beams of your earth-rending generosity from the very first nanosecond of this campaign, we here at IFD have undertaken a great effort in these past weeks and have made a firmware upgrade to our project. Today we're rolling out Project Atma 2.0. So what does this entail exactly? You know, I'm glad you asked, since I have a five-part answer prepared. 1. Mega Stretch Goal - IFD DocumentaryFirst of all, you completely obliterated all of our stretch goals within the first 36 hours of the campaign. We literally had no plan for this situation, and we were frankly dumbstruck with joy. I'm happy to say that we now have a grand plan for this situation, and we are smartstruck (that's the opposite of dumbstruck right?) with elation to be able to share it with you: If we are are able to reach $110,000, we will have raised enough to shoot a full-scale documentary throughout the creation and release of the album. This will be a documentary about the current state of the music industry, the geek culture explosion, crowdfunding, and IFD in general, but it will be centered around this year of our lives and the album itself. And best of all - we're keeping it Voltron Style. Every donor at the $15 level and above will receive a free digital download of the documentary when it's finished, their name in the credits of the movie, and the OPPORTUNITY TO BE IN THE MOVIE. This is a documentary about crowdfunding after all - we're envisioning a short scene in which everyone gets to submit a video of themselves (a little like ) and we combine them all together.$110,000 may seem like a lot, but it will actually be just enough for us to confidently say we can make a documentary - as we mentioned before our album production budget has ratcheted up now that we'll be making at least 3000 of these epic vinyl slabs, and documentaries are also expensive to do well. We want to make one, but we want to be able to do it right. Thus, if we are able to reach this goal, any extra money raised will go toward expanding the documentary budget. 2. New Bonuses UnlockedThese aren't proper 'stretch goals,' but your support has allowed us to throw the switch on all of these projects that might not have happened otherwise: - Music Video - We're going to be making a bombastic music video for "Burnadette" with Digital Skylight (the folks who made the cRaZie$ video) and CourtoonXIII - look for this in fall 2013. - More Vinyl - We're going to explore the Vinyl Frontier even further and release all of our back-catalog on good 'ol vinyl - KABOOM! will be its own 12" and 'Cool Is Just A Number' and 'Welcome To The Breakdown' will be a combined 12" record (one EP on each side!) - look for these fall 2013 as well. - Expanded Recording Budget - we're expanding our recording budget, which means we'll be able to have deluxe treats like actual grand pianos, real string players, and more crazy things we would've otherwise had to use synths for. - Signing Every Record - we will sign every record before we send it to you, as well as every Flexi-Disc. As it currently stands there are over 2000 of you that will be receiving these, so it will be a pretty herculean effort, but one we're happy to undertake. - New IFD T-shirt - This shirt won't be a part of the kickstarter rewards but we haven't been able to release a new t-shirt in over a year due to lack of fundage - a problem which you have solved handily. Look for these on our web store as early as next month. Sneak Preview: 3. New Reward Tiers AddedIn order to help us reach this new mega-stretch goal, and because many of you have asked for these specifically, we've added some new reward tiers! -$75 June 1st Kickstarter Event at Uncommon Ground in Chicago (10 more tickets added)(if you'd like to add a ticket to your donation of $100 or over, just add $25 and message me) -$175 Framed IFD Lyric (limit 10) - Brian will hand write and sign any lyric you want from any currently-released IFD song (not including the forthcoming album), frame it, and mail it to you. -$300 Hari's Hat - the dashing fedora Hari has worn on stage since 2009, it's his signature hat and the only Hari-centric item in the kickstarter. See a pic here. -$450 Custom Chiptones - IFD will create a gameboy version of the chorus of any song you'd like, (like ). This can be any song, IFD or otherwise, and you can use this as a ringtone or for any other creative purpose you might envision.-$500 IFD Writes And Records Your Personal 30-Second Theme Song (2014 version) - this is the same as the sold-out theme-song reward, but it will happen in 2014, after the new album is released. 4. Add-On RecordsMany of you have been asking about the ability to add on extra records to your existing pledge - well we have heard your pleas and we've decided on the following simple system: 1. Add $20 to your pledge for each record with US shipping, or $30 for each record with international shipping (limit 10 records total per Kickstarter backer - this is a Kickstarter policy). 2. Send me a message to make sure we have your extra album(s) noted! This part is very important since we aren't notified specifically otherwise. 5. PayPal Finally, there have also been a lot of you that have asked about using PayPal - Kickstarter doesn't accept PayPal officially, but we're happy to announce that we've added a PayPal payment page on our website for all of the non-limited reward tiers: http://www.ifightdragons.com/paypal So that's it! We're officially up and running with new firmware. Project Atma 2.0 yo. In all seriousness thank you, as always, for being the only real reason that all of this adventure is happening. And I have to say it's been a pretty kickass one so far Your friendly neighborhood Dragon Fighters, Brian, Bill, Chad, Hari, and Packy UPGRADE COMPLETE.
