aflycon
Just because some members on here Instagram records doesn't mean everyone does... There's nothing inherently wrong with posting pictures of your records on Instagram. I don't have very many records that are particularly cool or rare (lowest pressing I own is /100), and I decided to participate in April Record a Day because there are a few independent labels and distributors who follow me on Instagram and might like to see my collection. It's not about the likes for everyone, but I will admit I felt pretty keen when I got 30 likes on a photo of a record. The point is, I'm participating in the Record a Day thing because I'd like people who are interested in records, to see records. Not because I can't function without getting x likes on my selfie. That being said, I will concede that I think the vast majority of people who post records on Instagram are poseurs/own Crosleys/are doing it for the likes/etc.
FangsAnalSatan
I see no problem with people posting pictures of their records. I do it myself in fact, and I semi regularly post pictures on here, and Instagram is nothing more than a different vehicle. I just had a problem with someone assumed that everyone on VC simultaneously hates people who post pictures on Instagram/tumblr whiles posting pictures on Instagram/tumblr. horrorbusiness138
As long as they come with the frames, I am ok with this. Yes! I need more of this as well.
museummouth
I there's nothing wrong with posting pictures on instagram. The problem is when people only buy records to post pictures of them. If you truly listen to your records and buy them because you like the music, go and post a pic. That's cool. But when you buy a record only to post a pic to "show off" that's lame. stranaspank
I can't wait for my records to be worth more for the petroleum they're made with than the music.
