Adding a cassette player to my setup

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this is the right forum but I'd like to add a small cassette player to my setup. A lot of the releases I want are just too expensive on vinyl but I still like the idea of analog audio. Since my turntable is taking up all the room I need something small that has rca outs and sounds decent. Was thinking one of the older Marantz style portable units but don't know how they sound as a playback machine. The rack mount stuff is just too big for my current setup. Any suggestions?

Yeah, if you want something less expensive, just buy CDs. They're cheap and will sound infinitely better than tapes. Also, if it makes you feel better, every CD player outputs an analog signal. :D

If you really want a tape deck, good ones cost hundreds. Cheap ones all work the same, so just get the first one you like (and that actually works).
