corbet Posted October 21, 2007 Share Posted October 21, 2007 The "In Rainbows" discbox is one of the things that got me interested in vinyl. The sad thing is I don't know if I'm going to order it yet. With $80 I could easily pick up 6+ LPs from vinyl collective, and when I think of it that way the discbox just doesn't seem worth it. I'd imagine it will be a beautiful package, which is why I wanna see some extensive pictures and a review, but I don't want them to stop making them before I have a chance to order. jhulud Posted October 21, 2007 Share Posted October 21, 2007 My feelings to justify the $80 price are: -It's an import -Double LP on heavyweight (180 gram?) vinyl -Two CD's (In Rainbows and an enhanced one with more new songs) -Artwork and lyric book -Encased in a hardback slipcase -And shipping is included in the price...from the UK! So at the end of the day...this is not as bad of a price as people are making it out to be. But I know that $80 can be quite a bit of money for some people here on the board. I respect that and won't be dissin' anyone. And it's a helluva better than the $200 that Rhino is asking for the Joy Division box set!
