xfactor675
guys, what do you think, records can survive a plane ride, in the middle of the luggage in mailers obviously? I'm travelling to Germany, and would order there a few stuff to save on shipping and later on bring them home. any suggestions if you have are welcome. caninesapien
Hand luggage. I brought about 20 records home from US to UK. That way I could keep an eye on them and not spend the whole trip worrying they were getting wrecked.
Hairy Potter
Carry on. Most airlines allow two carry on bags per passenger (unless you're one of the last people to board the plane and they run out of room). If I record shop while traveling, I will bring a backpack with my laptop and a tote bag for records. I have also put a few records in the middle of my suitcase sandwiched between all of my clothing and they arrived back home in perfect shape. xfactor675
I can't have 2 carry on hand luggage (European low coast airlines rule), and I need my packback with me on board. I might risk the sandwich thing though. thanks guys.

xfactor675
Get a bigger backpack and stuff them in there. can't do that because said airline has a size regulation
Korgull Of Morgoth
can't do that because said airline has a size regulation If it's either Ryanair, EasyJet or the likes you should be well within the limit size wise. It usually is 50x40x20. There's a bunch of backpacks or travel bags that will be fine. Only problem would be if they have scales at the check in and you're over the weight with all that wax. HoneyFrosted
I have also put a few records in the middle of my suitcase sandwiched between all of my clothing and they arrived back home in perfect shape. I have done this exact thing when I went record shopping in San Francisco (about 25 records) and they also came out undamaged.

What are the best stores in San Fran? Going in June. Is the Fat Wreck thing open all the time?

At the time I was visiting I was still new to vinyl so I only hit up the obvious Amoeba and Rasputin. I didn't have a lot of time to explore any other shops.
