dietrootbeer
they have these things called record mailers... yeah.
hickey
Looks like Kyle went above and beyond here, but why not use a 7" mailer? Probably costs a heck of a lot less to ship and is equally secure.

faith
when im out of mailers, i basically sandwich an LP between 2 pieces of slightly bigger cardboard (it can be like 1cm larger on each side, just as long as its not smaller or same size - bigger will make sure corners don't get damaged) and throw everything in a bubble enveloppe. never had a problem
Guest conoley
Yeah, but what if you were allergic to peanuts?
benchwarmer
I got a record off of ebay the other day. it was wrapped in a brown paper bag, and sandwiched between some cardboard from a diaper box. and strangely it smells of perfume. hootenanny
benchwarmer is the man too. I just bought a 7" off of him. he packed it with a bubble wrap envelope thing inside of another bubble wrap envelope. and then put all of that inside of one of those record mailers that virgil uses. it was perfect. ps stop smiting him

thomas
Let it sit by itself for a bit, it should air out eventually. I would never dream of smoking inside any house I own, let alone near my records or any electronics.

cadetapplesauce
i probably should've mentioned this in the other shipping thread, but once i received a shook ones record that was actually taken out of the jacket, but somehow they just didn't feel it was necessary to put the record in the paper sleeve. they left that inside the jacket. but it was all in a plastic outer sleeve. wasn't super happy about it.
