ejc625
December 18th. On the 19th of August, Placebo performed a unique one-off show for MTV Unplugged at the London Studios in the UK. Here we present the results of this incredible show. The band were encased in spectacular LED box during the performance, from where they belted out some of their most well-loved tracks such as 'The Bitter End' and 'Every You Every Me.' Some new gems were dropped in for good measure, alongside surprise guests Joan As Police Woman and Majke Voss Romme (Broken Twin). No Placebo show would be complete without some signature cover versions and this set did not disappoint, from the breath-taking opener to the show- Sinead O'Connors 'Jackie' to a melancholy version of Pixies 'Where Is My Mind' http://www.placeboworld.co.uk/news/placebo-mtv-unplugged-pre-order Double LP Limited Edition 180g Pic Disc - Amazon Watch "The Bitter End" from the performance here. I searched, but nothing came up. This is my first thread so don't be too harsh.
freedumb
Overall, not a fan of the selected tracks but very interested in hearing the Pixies cover. Also, 45 GBP before shipping for the 2x LP picture disc = $91.08 Canadian. Outrageous.
David The Gnome
Can't believe it's only $20 on Amazon. While there are only 4-5 tracks I'd like to hear from it, that price point has me close to grabbing this.
numanoid
At the $20 price point, I'm in. I'll never listen to it but that's affordable.
YouTwo
I was pleasantly surprised. When I saw the thread I thought this would be European release with high shipping to the US.
voltagenewmedia
Anyone know how this sounds? I like it but debating getting the picture or standard...I assume the standard might sound better.
scentofdeath
Anyone know how this sounds? I like it but debating getting the picture or standard...I assume the standard might sound better. I have the European version on black vinyl (gatefold, printed inners) and it's worth every penny, if you're really into Placebo. The sound is fantastic, vinyl is quiet.
