monk0nuggets
I know there was a book thread before, but I can't find it so I'm starting a new one. I'm currently reading Earth Abides. So far so good. Anyone else read it? Please don't spoil stories in this thread. If you must, please use SPOILER ALERTS!

mattramone
Big ups for Breakfast of Champions. I just finished Dan Savage's Seven Deadly Sins, Bill Bryson's Thunderbolt Kid, and the second volume of the O'Neil/Adams run on Green Lantern. I gave up on The Year of Living Biblically because it was like reading one of the wankers on Slate with the NPR amp cranked to 11. Next up is a history of 20's bootleggers and another couple sections of the Bone anthology.

monk0nuggets
I'll add it to my new comic wants list. I'm trying to keep track of stuff I want to pick up for a change.
mattramone
Yes! Spend the $40 and get the complete anthology. It's like the best cartoon Disney never made back in their heyday.
kurtz
My only complaint with the Bone: One Volume Edition is that the pages are so thin you can see the art through the other side of the page. I guess with a 1300+ page book you can't go with the regular page thickness. It's still more than worth the $40 though.

murgorgoroth
I picked up Chomsky "Hegemony Or Survival" this afternoon and then it dawned on me why It takes me four months to finish a Chomsky book after reading the first three pages. Its worth it though.
