Snaggle Von Swift
packaging alone is $1.50-$2.00 than another $2.00-$3.00 to ship at least, that's how i've found it to be.
mattramone
Use the ebay model and charge $10 for shipping, even if it's in the neighboring zip code.
jailhouse
Is this for a storefront, or for E bay? Packing for Lp's can get quite expensive as well. I know ours comes out to like 4.50 for 1-3 LP's and above that it's 6 bucks for 4-10 or something Some shopping cart sites have a thing that connects directly to the usps site and it automatically totals up the customers weight and size of their package and charges them accordingly. It's really worth looking into getting that integrated with your site. The only downside is you have to weigh and measure everything and type it in manually for every product in your storefront. You can add to it as well, like ours totals up the exact usps rate, and add's a buck for handling, packaging. I think I'm talking too much, I am hyped up on caffeine
Guest kylewilliam
this is for my label, the cottage records.
cactusbot
I do what Jailhouse said. My shopping cart gets quotes from USPS so you get charged exactly what it costs. I add an extra dollar for mailer/tape and such.
Guest kylewilliam
so on average, what does usps charge for s&h&p on a 7"? 12"
cactusbot
Usually like $1.80 for a 7" and $2.50 for an LP. Media mail.
mcm1610
I have a lot of mailers that got sent to me with postage being $2.52 so I'd say that's the basic media mail charge.
matt
as of late my packages for media mail have been 3.33 with delivery confirmation so i guess that makes it 2.58 since the last postal increase.
