music4ever
Is there anyway to tell if an album is a limited pressing? I'm guessing it would just have an insert saying or it would say somewhere on the jacket, right?
jhulud
You can always ask people here or check www.deadformat.net
silentgods
no, mainly you either get the info directly from the record label or a second source. IE:Us deadformat.net has some pressing info, depending on what you're looking for.
sgoodcore
Usually you won't see it on the jacket. Best place to start is either here or the label site. No Idea Records has a discography page where they list how much of what they've pressed. Either that or try Dead Format (deadformat.net)
jacobe
it sounds different
music4ever
Okay. Well I picked up Viva La Vida when it was released and wasn't sure about it.
pibbals
It's a Coldplay album, it's probably not all that limited, if at all.
jhulud
A lot of times, vinyl releases from larger bands on major labels are a pain in the ass to find out the pressing info on. Unless they make a note of it somewhere on the record or jacket or the retailer has the info. Sometimes the band may have that info somewhere on their site...that is if they even acknowledge their vinyl releases.
music4ever
Yea, I didn't think it would be that limited. I was just checking out the label site and coldplay's site and didn't see any mention of it. Thanks!
xlovecolouredx
contact label directly or check the other collection....
flood
all pressings are technically limited. i mean hell i've seen records that state "limted to 10,000 copies"
minty
It depends what type of music it is. If it's mainstream, it's likely to have LIMITED EDITION plastered all over it, but if it's more "Underground", every press is limited.
