kyle
First of all, I'm not sure if this was ever even pressed on vinyl, but I'm guessing it was. Anyways, its one of my favorite albums of all time, so I'd like to get a copy. Anyone know where I could score one?
scottheisel
Is this record even still in print anymore? Kat folded, then Liquid Meat folded, then New American Dream folded... Virgil! Release this shit on vinyl! You already did those two singles collections on CD...
kyle
I have no idea if it was ever pressed. If it was, I doubt its still in prent. I'd love love love a copy of this on vinyl, so if anyone has one they'd like to sell that would rule. Or, if Virgil wants to go ahead and press it himself... haha

scottheisel
That list is missing the one record Virgil actually put out himself -- the Discount/Cigaretteman split 7"!

Guest Admin
we carried most of the discount vinyl at one time or another. I will have to go through my archives and see if I still have a half fiction vinyl. I am pretty sure I don't but I will let you all know if I find it. I miss that band. scottheisel
In the new issue of AP (out in August) "Half-Fiction" is one of the 10 influential records from 1997 that I had profiled for our "Class Of '97" special. When we got a hold of Bill their drummer to tell him and do an interview, he was like, "Really? Us?" It was so funny.

burntwolf
yea it was. i had it. sold all my discount stuff during the great Unemployment Liquidation. i miss discount too. the bands the members formed have not been so rad, altho some of the kills stuff i like ok. i have their first ep on blue still. i got to see them on their last tour in SF. they were great. i had a huge crush on allison. i don't see that 7" in my pics tho. i haven't posted those to Burnt Wolf yet, but here are the pics i have (if the vinyl isn't showing, it's just black) http://flickr.com/photos/9805881@N07/sets/72157600871985953/ i think the discount/as friends rust one is the black sleeve w/ the blue vinyl, but i can't remember now exactly. you just missed a half-fiction too: http://cgi.ebay.com/Discount-Half-Fiction-LP-Red-Vinyl-Kat-Records_W0QQitemZ300126118045QQihZ020QQcategoryZ306QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem didn't go that high either
