Boojie Horsie
glad someone mentioned Why? - Alopecia my favorites so far.. Vampire Weekend - ST (definitely best new band too) Verse En Coma - Rialto Of Montreal - Skeletal Lamping (which just got pushed to october 21st) The Notwist - The devil, You + Me i secretly love the Black Kids album too, very catchy tv on the radio's next album might go in there too if its near as good as return to cookie mountain. This was definitely my worst year for punk, all the releases are awful.. there are a few exceptions but mostly bad stuff or just copies of other bands. birdwell
my top favs thusfar (in no particular order): The Hold Steady -- "Stay Positive" Chuck Ragan & Austin Lucas -- "Bristle Ridge" The Gaslight Anthem -- "The '59 Sound" Black Kids -- "Party Traumatic" She & Him -- "Volume 1" Fleet Foxes -- "Fleet Foxes" Vampire Weekend -- "Vampire Weekend" Baak Gwai -- "Find A Stranger In The Alps" Conor Oberst -- "Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band" Taylor Hollingworth -- "Bad Little Kitty" The Dexateens -- "Lost and Found" I havn't recieved my copy of the new Underoath album...but if they made the same level of progression from record 1-2 for this new record then that's probably going to make my fav list...and havn't recieved the new Portugal The Man album yet...but can almost garantee I'm going to dig it as much as the past 2. Biggest disappointments should be no surprise (they weren't for me): Alkaline Trio Weezer Thrice

Boojie Horsie
Aside from VW, I like those records, but I don't love them. i may be a bit biased on Verse En Coma, its just that ive been waiting for it, i may have another opinion 6 months from now. Skeletal Lampin is a blast, if you like of montreal..
